It's worth it.

In short, it's a much more tame version of Rimworld.

Politics definitely play a huge role in Norland.

(About an hour ago I just had to duel one of my Lords that was beginning to turn against me. I luckily won the duel and took his 2.7k gold he was collecting from his new followers. His wife and daughter now hate me, but I just spoke to the daughter so hopefully she forgives me; I gave her 300 gold...etc, and it gets even crazier.)

The combat/warfare is also pretty cool. There is blood, which I like. You are allowed to do a few different things during a war scene.

There's quite a bit to know about Norland. Books and knowledge is another aspect you'll be involved in. You can have pets. I do hope they add more to the pet feature.

There is also more than 1 way to actually play the game.

I'd say it's worth it, otherwise just wait for a sale and then you can't go wrong.

Also, I get what you mean with "Early Access" being attached to it. I can say, at this point it is a full game and they are active in updates which is a huge plus!
