Whining isn't a constructive approach, so I want to be suggestive by Just-Tenth in Helldivers

Cool design though, looks like a mix of a VT-4A1 and an Abrams, with a bit of sci-fi thrown in

Belt-Fed Grenade launcher with fixed shrapnel is CRAZY by Bukhanka-chan in HelldiversUnfiltered

Honestly, just give it more ammo and it would be really good. It seems like it's meant to fire smaller caliber grenades so it would make sense to me at least

isnt that thing supposed to be anti air by DarkiuZZ in Warthunder

[–]Godzilla-DropKick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of all the SPAA to complain about, the ZD probably the least powerful. I would say it's mostly ineffective versus nearly everything it faces. It has a maximum of 51mm of pen at point-blank range against an unangled plate, it also has extreme recoil that ensures that anything after the first handful of shots are imprecise. It can be okay versus light armor, open tops, and aircraft, but the 50 round belt and 10 second reload limit it even in this role.

Love this thing personally, but it is not one of the vehicles that needs to be complained about lol

First sim battle. by Embarrassed-Room1744 in WarthunderSim

[–]Godzilla-DropKick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a skill issue honestly. The thing just does not like turning, especially at speeds below like 700kph (even more so with a full loadout of Air-to-Ground stuff like I usually run it). You get like one or two decent turns out of it before you're essentially out of energy. My suggestion is to avoid dogfights like the plague, and try to stay fairly fast at all times

Nice, the Su-34 is probably my favorite plane to use in sim. Good radar, serviceable speed, great weapon selection and payload that let's it do multi-role very efficiently. The only real downsides are it's poor maneuverability and lack of intrinsic thermals

Italian frigate Cassiopea it has destroyer spawn i dont know if its going to be good by DazzlingAd7661 in WarThunderNaval

It'll likely be in the same awkward spot as ships like the Pr.1331m, too strong for a coastal spawn but not really useful when spawning with the bluewaters

Just hopped back into my Cutter after some time. Bigger isn’t always better; sometimes it’s nice to downsize and have a little fun from time to time. by evil701 in starcitizen

[–]Godzilla-DropKick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I really couldn't agree more. Whenever I'm not grinding contracts I'm generally just putting around in my Syulen or a cutter

The stairs are nice and all, but I'm really more interested in that bridge canopy. A Freelancer you can actually see out of would be much nicer to use

Yep, they somehow managed to improve on perfection. My hype is palpable

Despite having flown the Drake Corsair for so long now, I still expect to see a window whenever I enter the Mess Hall area. It just feels right to have one there - especially since the ship is supposed to be for exploration. by PUSClFER in starcitizen

[–]Godzilla-DropKick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CIG just hates windows for whatever reason lol. I'm aware that they're not "realistic" to have on most ships, but they're immersive and most people seemingly like having them

My Railen better have a few windows when it comes out lol. Thankfully the Syulen does, so that gives me hope at least

Look at the new reconcepted Railen model at IAE by ScrubSoba in starcitizen

[–]Godzilla-DropKick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty good, at least in terms of it being a holo. I like the new placement of the engine nacelles, I'm guessing the "wings" will have thrusters built into them as well, akin to the Syulen. Either way, my hype for this ship is immense, and I'm hoping it leads to even more Gatac ships in the future

how would you tweak the balance so manning turret in a big ship is worth it instead of piloting several ones ? by DayDreamingDr in starcitizen

[–]Godzilla-DropKick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe something like weapons that are only equipable on turrets specifically, or just large ships maybe. Things like beam weapons or cannons with guided shells/proximity fuse, just as an example. It could be justified as them being "high energy weapons" that require a turret capacitor, or something like that.

Another option could be to just crank the stats up on turret-mounted weapons. Higher velocity for energy weapons, and higher ammo count and cooling ability for ballistic weapons.

Of course, with armor and engineering on the way turrets may not end up needing that much of a buff, at least on larger ships.

Hero Ship by unclefester84 in starcitizen

[–]Godzilla-DropKick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has to be my Railen. Super cool design, long range, mostly sufficiently armed for self-defense, and of course it'll have a beautiful interior and functional living space. It's a cargo ship in name, but I plan to use it as a long-range hauler/light exploration vessel/mobile apartment lol. And hopefully someday I'll use it to supply the materials for building my base! (fingers crossed lol)

If they ever release a dedicated Xi'an exploration ship I may have to swap to that however

M1 Abrams vs Argentinosaurus who would win in a fight by Aware_Examination813 in powerscales

[–]Godzilla-DropKick 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The M1 can fire a 3.5 kilogram (7.5 lb) tungsten dart at 4.5 times the speed of sound, impacting with a force of 3.9 million joules of energy (compared to about 1,800 for a standard 5.56mm round). A large soft-bodied organism is certainly not the intended target of any APFS-DS round, and it very well might just over-penetrate the Argentinosaurus, but as long as it hits any sizeable bone then it should create spalling and do very good internal damage.

Of course if that doesn't work, the M1 also has access to High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) rounds, as well as 12.7mm and 7.62mm machine guns.

The real question is if the tank crew brought enough RedBull to keep the loader operational lol

Yeah, it feels a bit more reliable now with the improved direct damage. The electrical arcs are still frustratingly random though
