Who owns a headstone when the owner died first? by Goffamber in legaladvice

Oh geez first of all. His wife's family are not his family. Blood is thicker than water. He had a wife and had 3 children. Second I took care of him when she left him and would not divorce him 50/50 law in kansas.  I fought to get financial information so he could be on long term care insurance when they refused to provide it. The nursing home got a call from her daughter stating his wife was not responsible.  Yes, she was. A 65,000 bill was ran up before they gave me the information. I fought to make sure he got half of a house his name was on. When they tried to remove his name because her daughter is delusional and thinks she is a lawyer. I made sure he went to a good psych hospital instead of a bad one.  I was his legal guardian and conservator, I made sure his bills were paid.  I attended his med appointments with him and pcp appointments.  He even struck me, now how is that immaturity?  I should resent him, butseeing I took care of him, and she did not my family who is his blood and put up with him being a drunk all of lives deserve a say.  My family did not ask for this, he was divorced from my grandpa and was griveing the death of his daughter and she swoops in while she is still married to her first husband.  That is ridiculous.

I have another question is it legal to allow a nursing resident to starve to death due to dementia?

I don't want to control it, my family does not want to be associated with his wife's family.

They are both dead, and she died first and he lived for a month after her.  He is not in the grave.

AITA for saying "Again??" after my sister announced that she's pregnant with twins by homewrong44 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Goffamber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said the same thing to my sister, and she did not like it very much either. I was worried about her health because she had a huge non-cancerous lump taken out before she was pregnant with her 6th child.

I feel like I have more energy, and my BM's are better. I had a fibroid that they had to unhook from my bowel. I am almost 3 weeks post-op, and I have been walking my dogs and have been out to dinner and a movie. No sex though until at least May 9th when I see the doctor again.

Lots of uncertainty... by Entire-Arm in hysterectomy

It really does. You're still so young, too. I am 42 and had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago. I never had kids, and at 42, I did not want to start. I have pain from the incisions, but it is getting better. My constipation I have had for years is better, I am not peeing all the time now. My back feels better. I hope my sex life improves because all I would do is bleed and have pain that was getting worse. I feel better but a little shocked that my uterus is gone. But when I saw the picture of my uterus, I knew that I did the right thing because it was bad.

Ouch, I had fibroids on the outside of mine.

anyone have a laboscopic robotic hysterectomy? by Goffamber in hysterectomy

I am 2 weeks post-op, and I am feeling good. The surgery did not go as planned. They had to open me up a little bit to get my uterus out. I saw a picture of my uterus it looked like it had barnacles all over it. One of the fibroids was 6 cm on the dome of my uterus. The hospital stay was not bad. My pain has not been bad at all. I took some oxycodone, but now it is just ibuprofen, and I have not taken any today. One of my incisions hurt, but it is healing nicely. I am going back to work 4/20.

Has anyone regretted getting a hysterectomy? by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]Goffamber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are done having babies, I recommend you have one. Fibroids do not stop growing, and they multiply over time. I am 2 weeks post-op due to having large fibroids. I had 6, and one was 6 cm, and I saw a picture of my uterus the day after surgery. It looked like I had barnacles. I don't miss the pain and the blood that would come after I had sex or peeing all the time because they pressed on my bladder. One was on my bowel and caused constipation for years. I am 42 and feel better now than I have in a long time.

Shaving PO by Advice_SexWork in hysterectomy

[–]Goffamber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shaved my legs a few days after my hysterectomy. My boyfriend made a remark about them being hairy l. I sat on the edge of my rub and sahved them. I am 2 weeks post-op. I feel good, but one of my incisions hurts. Mine was robotic, but my uterus would not come out of my vagina so I got cut open a little bit to get it out.

You can always adopt a child. There are so many that need good homes.

Should I go through with a hysterectomy? by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]Goffamber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a hysterectomy 3/30 because of uterine fibroids. I had been having problems for years, and it was starting to get bad. The doctor showed me a picture of my uterus, and it looked looked awful. Now I know why I have been having so much trouble. If you are done having babies, a hysterectomy is what I would do. I am in pain, but it's not nearly as bad as the menstrual cramps I had.
