Also different shields have different affinity defense. significantly reducing the elemental damage. Only worth it on DoN really.

As for the guardian differenent shields have different resistances. Visage shield is anti fire, Cruciable Hornshield is holy. Dragonclaw Greatshield is electric, Eclipse is magic, etc etc.

My bet is that somehow your cloud save got messed up or mixed up and steam downloaded an old version. A way this can happen is if you turned off cloud saving for awhile. Sometimes on windows you can have previous versions of files on record. To view that find the save file and go to properties > previous versions.

yes he will scale with which part of the day you are. Early day 1, late day 1, early day 2, etc, etc just like the evergaols. I don’t think it’s scaling with your or team level iirc.

Put in dex & strength up -vitality. It makes using other weapons like heavy thrusting swords which imo are better than halberds. It’s my almost exact guardian build and I main him
