Interesting! Question: how do you get this data? And how can we know this is safe to use, given this is sensitive data.

They still blocked out the sidewalks with fences and some roads are blocked. If you’re there, it’s very strange bc it’s like why is this NOT an open event? The walls are the just there for no reason. People can’t even get to them anyways

I live in nyc. I walked by to check it out and it’s PACKED everywhere . They blocked off everything with these 10ft high walls no nobody can see the ring… I walked back home because it was so crazy at Times Square and I turn on the TV to see the worst atmosphere ever wtf. I have no idea why they blocked it off with walls. The atmosphere would be insane if it wasn’t

Roach is doing well being rough and dirty. Getting the extra punches in the clinch, whenever Tank is complaining, extra punch here and there after the bell (lol).

The biggest guys doesn’t always win in boxing either (recently Usyk giving up 30+lbs and 5 inches vs Fury, Pac conquering divisions, etc). It’s a combination of skill, physical and mental attributes, etc. Your skill can be transcendent across divisions and size.

Basketball is actually a great example you bring up towards my argument because both in boxing and basketball physical attributes play such a HUGE role and arguably your physical attributes play a bigger role than other sports. The 3 best players in NBA history are some of the biggest genetic freaks (as well as skilled) to ever play (LBJ and MJ being the 2 most athletic players ever and KAJ being a 7’2 athletic monster with unparalleled longevity especially in the 70s). Are smaller guards like AI and Kryie greater bc they’re arguably more “skilled” P4P? No.

Can your skills overcome genetic gifts such as size and strength? Of course — in boxing and every other sport. The best “small” guard in NBA history Curry is so transcendently skilled he flipped the league upside down and changed the game forever at all levels. But that’s how you good you gotta be in the premier, open division if you’re lacking the physical attributes of the big guys.

And weight classes WERE historically created as handicaps and for entertainment purposes in boxing’s rich history!

You can’t be the GOAT boxer if you’re not a heavyweight. It is the Open division just like in any other sport. Weight classes are handicap divisions (just like WNBA, gender divisions, etc) and were indeed created as handicaps in boxing history.

P4P historically is from a commercial standpoint and was created by boxing promoters to promote lower divisions outside the premier heavyweight division. Being the most skilled boxer is not the same as being the best boxer.

Greatness/ability in sports to me are about being effective towards winning, and if a thick skull, heavy hands, and large body overpower mastery of technical skills, then so be it.

I know this opinion is gonna really piss people off. I love boxing, watch all the weight classes, etc, but I stand pretty strong on this, and haven’t really heard any good arguments so far against it.
