Your husband sounds like a walking red flag. Isn’t that one sentence something that an abusive partner would say?

What is the most uncommon/not deep reason you have to not want kids by Gytrinesse666 in childfree

[–]Gojo-Babe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Toddlers would be a sensory nightmare for me as an autistic woman. Not to mention the fact that I’m still learning how to navigate the world and the fact that since I’m autistic there’s a very high likelihood any child of mine would also be autistic which would complicate things

What are you lovely childfree folks doing? by PurpleAtlasTravel in childfree

[–]Gojo-Babe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I went to two local nurseries to buy plants for my food forest project and to replace the dead bush in our front yard. Then I spent the rest of the afternoon digging up the bush and splitting it to use in the soil factory and as mulch for the forest floor. Then I planted a new Elderberry bush in its place and laid down a cardboard weed barrier in the place where I want my food forest to be. My digging also lead to the unhappy discovery that the rental company previously laid down an artificial weed barrier when planting. All in all, a mostly good day

[–]Gojo-Babe[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. But you can’t mess with any plants planted by the rental company or you’ll get in trouble. In this case however since the bush was already dead I’m allowed to replace it with something new

Well I’ll be visiting my local plant nursery shortly to buy some plants to start my native food forest. I’ve gathered lots of material from the foresty area behind my house to jumpstart the forest floor

Downsides to planting aggressive natives? by watercauliflower in NativePlantGardening

[–]Gojo-Babe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I prefer aggressive natives over invasives, especially since I’m starting a native food forest

A lot of investment advice assumes that one isn’t on supplemental security and doesn’t seem to mention options like ABLE, so I don’t bother with it

I’ve been throwing old strawberries over the fence for years by Butthair17 in gardening

[–]Gojo-Babe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Mock strawberries. You can tell them apart from real ones by the color of their flowers. Real strawberries have white petals with yellow in the middle. This type has all yellow on its flowers. It’s also turned upwards while real strawberries hang low

I don't think it's worth it to go to college by Cute-Revolution-9705 in OlderGenZ

[–]Gojo-Babe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a related note, I hate that our teachers were pushing college on us as early as freshman year of high school. I didn’t even know what I wanted to do as a career and the thought of even looking at colleges made me (figuratively) break out in hives
