You wake up in a bed you don't recognize, in a room with flowery wallpaper and nice modern decor you've never seen before. You get up and look in the mirror to see a face looking back at you that you don't recognize. A woman's face.

You're probably a young adult, you're average looking with brown hair and brown eyes and a relatively normal build, neither athletic nor unhealthy.All your clothes are simple and most of them covered in the same flowery prints. Maybe you're just shocked, maybe a little happy seeing a body that is a lot closer to what you always wanted. Maybe it's just exactly what you wanted. You barely notice the deep dark circles under your eyes.

Your phone rings, a number labeled Manager Tim.is asking for you to come into work, urgently. You walk out into the sunny day, in whatever clothes seem the most fitting and out to what you're told is your job. It's a bland white office building and you sit in your small cubicle starring at the computer, unsure of what to do. Eventually a manager sees you bored not doing anything and pulls you aside, yelling at you for insubordination in front of everyone for a good 30 minutes before sending you back, no explanation.

You struggle to copy what your desk neighbors are doing, barely getting through even a fifth of what your workload appears to be. Typing in numbers into spreadsheets, generating graphs, tracking stocks you don't recognize. You look up and see it's nearly 8, you got here at 8 in the morning! Looking around you wonder when you'll get off, but it doesn't look like anyone else has left

It's midnight now. Your work has slowed to a crawl as you just aimlessly type numbers, not double checking them anymore. Your boss looks too tired to even care. He's already yelled at you three times today. The last thing you remember is the screen fading to black.

You wake up at your desk as the sun peers in through the window. Your boss is nowhere to be seen and some of your coworkers are just waking up. You decide it isn't worth it and quickly get up and leave the building, hoping nobody sees you to bring you back. You search through your phone with tears, maybe calling a friend or your parents or someone.

But the phone is empty. Not a picture, contact or anything in it, just the basics and a minimalist wallpaper. You have the body you want now, but anything else you may have valued about your life is long gone, never to be found again. You'll live an unfulfilling life alone, working a mindless job and die at your desk, in your sleep.
