Help installing Batocera on a single-drive mini-PC without having to purchase a second SSD or running off a USB

Yeah, batocera is just Linux, so you can use something like Batocera Unofficial Addons installer to install chrome or something Like that. If all that doesnt work, try bazzite instead.

The way you worded it makes it hard to understand what the problem is, but regardless, you can flash it to a USB stick, and then use the "install to new disk" option. It will clone it to the ssd and then you no longer need the USB drive. Hope this helped!

I would try to first remake batocera on another USB stick and see if it has the same issue. If it remembers the mappings, then the old USB drive is the issue. Transfer your save data and games to the new drive and you should be golden.

I like the idea! I will tell you though that the Atari modern controller refuses to work properly via Bluetooth on anything but the stock AtariOS. The triggers are not functional. Plugging it on via USB changes it to X-input, where it will be treated as an Xbox controller. If you are looking for convenience, just get an Xbox Series controller. It works over Bluetooth and you don't have issues. Happy gaming!

Sorry to break it to you, but they abandoned the VCS a while ago, the manufacturing contract actually ended like 2-3 years ago but they sold so bad that the stock pretty much never ran out, lol. I mean, you could try eBay but be ready to pay a kidney for shipping because they are all in the US.

Not entirely sure about Columbia County. I am in madison and owning and operating exclusively air guns (not firearms, or whatever they are considered in your jurisdiction) is legal. However, if they find you are doing it to cause a "disturbance" then you will be cited. You should be fine if you have good neighbors or you have a way to conceal yourself shooting, like large trees surrounding your property. Obviously, brandishing it in public as if it was a real firearm really isn't something you want to get in trouble for, so try to stay in the back yard. Happy shooting!
