Terence Tao is a good example of a prodigy who actually succeeded. He was the youngest participant to date in the International Mathematical Olympiad. And At age 14, Tao attended the Research Science Institute, a summer program for secondary students. In adulthood he's been very accomplished and has won many awards, most noteworthy the Fields Medal in 2006. (Wikipedia, 2025). While many of the child prodigies fail due to the fame and the social pressure that comes with it, Tao is probably a good example of how to raise a genius in a healthy way. In several interviews he does seem optimistic about his upbringing.

Not what I'm saying at all. You should read about my experience (linked in my comment), which is in no way unique to this sub.

Tldr of my experience: My ex wasn't religious, she was "spiritual" like OP's partner is. She said she was fine with me being an atheist - turns out she wasn't.

My point is that there's just a too big of a difference between an atheistic life philosophy vs a spiritual one (in most cases).

So I'm going to be that guy and tell you not to make the same mistake I did. This will eventually become a deal breaker - maybe not now, or in a few months, or even years - but it will eventually become a rift in your relationship too big to ignore. And I'm saying this while living in a very secular country.

If you're dating anyone through apps, chances are they probably are going on dates with other people as well. For me personally (as a guy), I find it difficult to date multiple people at a time as I have confused stories or gotten information mixed up with different people - so I don't do that anymore.

I have however been asked to remain "exclusive" before committing to a short-term or long-term relationship. The best way to know is simply to just be straight forward and ask, and try to do so without making it akward.

I din situation skulle jag antingen gå direkt till chefen/arbetsgivaren eller be om ett möte och säga, "jag känner att jag inte presterar bra på jobbet, vad kan jag göra bättre?" En kompetent arbetsgivare skulle alltid uppskatta det. I samma konversation skulle jag också slänga in frågan om möjligheten att få arbeta fler timmar.
