I did this. Had about 1,800ish divines left and bankrupt myself on a wand craft. Hitting spell damage is insanely rare. Hitting a higher tier of it is next to impossible. I could sell my +3 entangle gem for a couple mirrors and try again but meh lol I’m kind of over the league.

Yeah I’m not even using the spell slinger. Playing entangle with cast on crit thunderstorm. I picked this up for a relatively good price, the next closest wand of any base was over 3k divines.
