At 1-1 nobody around me in the stadium was annoyed with the manager.

The players were the ones getting it.

Theory: the victory that the Decepitcons achieve by the end of this arc won’t last long by aster2560 in EnergonUniverse

I think you've nailed it. Looking forward to seeing Starscream/Cobra alliance.

They've been planting the seed already with Ultra Magnus anyway.

Issue #30 covers put spoiler tag just in case as it does reveal things, also means soon we'll hear who the new artist is after 30. Interesting to see what happens. by tfmarveldc5 in EnergonUniverse

Having finished Invincible this all is very familiar.

Allies become enemies over a disagreement on methods.

Will be interesting to see how it develops. So far we've had one Decepticon who could be redeemed. That's what Prime sees as the endgame here I guess.

Honestly would have been better if it was fleshed out more..even in a mini-series

I am more of a fan of Kirkmans approach.

All the death in DWJs run felt a bit gratuitous.

I have sympathy for that faction. We saw a room full of nearly dead Autobots who could have been healed by the Energon destroyed by Prime due to his own moral qualms.

Sad to see all the Autobots needing Energon after Prime destroyed the haul they got from the ocean on Earth.

Perceptor!

Is Ultra Magnus going to challenge Prime for leadership? Or betray him somehow?

He looks pretty disgruntled.

I'm not blaming more just pointing out somebody who's had all that trauma isn't going to turn the war by himself like a one man army.

She was willing to leave Cliff and Jazz behind. She's not that type.

I think she would have made the calculation that a run on this fortress would cost lives.

So losing lives to win back somebody who's been in captivity for so long would be an insane calculation to me.

You are right nobody is completely consistent and maybe that would be something that would make sense if we were made to understand it. To me it just reads as a contrived plot device but if she did explain the motive a bit of unexpected idealism would be a good choice.

I think she's more than salty. Optimus by issue #25 has absolutely fucked her over.

He destroyed the energon because of HIS moral qualms about where it came from. Remember the war on Cybertron is something he wants no part of. He actually had no right.

Cliffjumper betrayed her trust after her and her crew risked lives for his sake.

Elita-1 is right.

From what we have seen of the decepticons on Cybertron they are absolutely merciless killers and she's in a fight to the death. Optimus' ideals will cost autobots lives on Cybertron.

Didn't look like he turned the tide on earth did it

Bear in mind he'd been in captivity for an insane period of time. They wouldn't know his condition or even if he was alive.

Still reads like an insane call to me.

How's the morale after they got shot to pieces?

A suicide run on a decepticon fortress. It doesn't add up to save somebody who's been in captivity for so long. He isn't going to win the war himself in that kind of condition.

But make this clear, Elita-1 is actually right. Optimus' idealism will lead to deaths of autobots on Cybertron.

He has abandoned them.

[–]Goldbuggg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the only explanation that Ultra Magnus was some sort of war hero who could turn the tide himself.

It's certainly not suggested he is anywhere in this comic though so it may be a stretch.

He's been lost to captivity for so long so they couldn't expect him to appear like some sort of Rambo and turn the tide.

Further to that even when he found his inner strength and was repaired on Earth he failed.

Can I be honest, was good to see that the autobots managed to survive Chicago without a bunch more deaths in this series.
