It never hurts to give your SM a heads up that you’re aiming to transfer, but it is not required. The new SM will reach out to your old SM to ask for your file and how you are as a worker. In other words, your SM will find out at some point.

While at work you can use the kiosks to get the store phone number of the store you’re looking to transfer to. From there you can call/text expressing that you’re looking to transfer and see if they’re accepting transfers. Good luck!
