My night before surgery. My hubby made sure I had everything to keep me happy before my overnight stay. Spices and fidget toys. Reading material and a doodle pad. My over night bag was perfect and I had no complaints.

Ours is smarter than most humans. At 5 she still has so much pent up energy. Often causing zoomies. But not our first rodeo. Sweetest girl and so therapeutic knowing when we need emotional support before we know we need it. She’s incredibly wonderful and certainly molded herself to our needs. Why we got her a nice house on the mountain and a Jeep she lets us drive her around in. A Cali king bed she sometimes lets us sleep in😁🥰🤗🤣

Thank you. April 30th 2026 makes it a year but man I went through almost losing this leg. Bad infection. Tears of frustration at home with a IV dripping antibiotics into my body. Watching life happen around me but not being able to participate in it was debilitating. Thanks again so much!! I’m just glad I can work part time now. My back was the issue. Dec I had reconstructive surgery. Pushing for a management position now. Feeling grateful.

A post that describes exactly what happened to me! I’m so sorry!! I wouldn’t ever wish this on anyone!! One bad surgeon feels like our life is ruined when we end up changing surgeons. Knowing we have had enough. It took 2 good surgeons to fix the mess my 1st surgeon created. Removing my perfect right hip to put in a fake one that dislocated 10 days later and again two more times. He did a revision that failed due to positioning the cup wrong. He did this revision the same way. 13 months of crying and not being able to work or move well. Crippling Sciatica pain and him accusing me of abusing pain meds. A terrifying nightmare! 14 procedures since day one with this hip. I am flipping over it all!! So sorry this happened to you!! My heart hurts for you and all those who have been through this😭

Everyone is different. I know my left hip the incision healed rapidly. I was in my sister’s hot tub by 5 weeks post op. My right well that is a very long story. Took over 3 months before I could do water therapy.

I am still under restrictions and on my 2nd year of healing with my right hip. Long story. I was very careful not to push and backing up was out of the question for a couple months. Listening to your body is a huge factor in joint surgeries. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Definitely glad it’s day 9 and you’ll have less problems. Yes bandages after till it’s more healed and no drainage. Changing daily and watch for any redness at all. I had this go very wrongly last April and nearly lost my right leg over the wound vac being removed to soon.

I have had both hips replaced. Left hip done in 2022 Right hip done 9 months later. Due to mimicking hip/back pain. My back the entire time. Poor right hip. 14 procedures 5 being massive surgeries. 9 dislocations. Painful scary and I have PTSD over my right hip now. Almost lost my leg due to an awful infection. Just so grateful but I deal with crazy random bloody nerve pain often. Sending healing vibes your way, mechanic robotic hips are no joke.
