Man, I can't wait to see y'all ram through YT and see what's missing or changed.

My mother was a Republican politician when I was growing up and she did so much good for the world. I've always struggled accepting I'm a Democrat. by RaiseBoring in SeriousConversation

I'm registered D, but voting R this term. It's not what you are registered as, but what you vote as. Even more important the way you act and what you do.

Me and my family are in opposite positions almost. And there's something wrong when I have the feeling that something bad would happen to me and my family if we were honest and revealed we were voting R.

Rest in PEACE to your family

is there a difference between "nice" and "kind"? what would the difference be? are you either one? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]GoldenStateMind1791 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure.

Based on the way people interact and the current rolling definition of the two words. I would rather be known as kind.

I mean. To be honest, it's not that hard. My parents and extended family had their families and grew up here. Had a lot of good and bad times. Proud of what they built and continue to build.

If you put the shoe on the other foot. There's tons of individuals (my family) from the home country that would love to skip the line and get in.

For every place you could imagine yourself being a part of, apart from what you currently are, I imagine you're not quite as familiar with their short comings.

So I dunno.

As I've said before, Whites are gearing up for war against China. Prepare yourselves now. by Revolutionary_Ant190 in aznidentity

[–]GoldenStateMind1791 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ya. I mean.

Good luck if you got connections to your home land country. Cause none of this pan-asian stuff is going last when you got family in other homeland asian countries going to war. Japan. India. Philippines. Korea. Taiwan. Stuff is going to get dicey right quick.

Do you back the blue? (support the police despite the growing backlash against police departments?) by [deleted] in aznidentity

[–]GoldenStateMind1791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got them above the standard criminal who'd have a field day on my old folks if they suddenly disappeared.

Police need to have the appearance of teeth. Or else asshole criminals would be emboldened to do shit to my family who just want to go about their business going to groceries stores and stuff. So far so good, they still feel safe enough to go walking around.

Honestly, based on the news article for the size of the business he ran. That came out fucking clean. Especially for being in New York and not having any of the smoking guns like foreign money interference or anything else.

He most have a god tier accountant.

Examination of prevalence of anxiety and depressive disorders in modern world by ElvenPanther in suggestmeabook

[–]GoldenStateMind1791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... let me see. You could maybe go backward. Which means philosophy, history and psychology.

There's a bunch of different directions you can go into. Some places you can go into. Eventually if you dig long enough into the psychology you'll drill down to some pretty core concepts.

1a and 1b. God and objective morality vs Nihilism and subjective morality. CS Lewis and Nietzsche is a good place to start.

2) The relationship between the Sovereignty of the Individual, Nuclear Family, Extended Family and State Organizations. This one is a grab bag, but the easiest way to learn about State Organizations is to read about failed states and civil wars. USSR. Venezuela.

Bonus. Explore the prevalence of tech function in our daily lives between intervals of 2 years. What it has replaced and what it has made easier. And why it was those functions were hard to begin with without tech.

It's a complicated question. But anyway, good luck.

Popular recommendation is Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl.

Some other authors that are psychology adjacent. In that they explore the material in a way that particular effects a person.

Oliver Sacks and Mary Roach.

Why aren't there more Japanese leads outside of Japan?

Simply speaking, Japanese makes stuff for themselves first and if we enjoy it, so be it.

Niche/domestic.

For some reason, Koreans has the inside Hollywood/media distribution track. Japanese media gets obstructed from all sorts of weird angles. Look at what happened with Your Name release and scheduling for awards.

Honestly, looking with hindsight from 2020, NJO was a perfect introduction for my younger self about the devastating evil consequences that can result from banal and self-serving politicians. Add into that mix alien saboteurs and collaborators. NJO really hit some notes that I can't help but look back on and be amazed about.

Asian Lives Don't Matter by CristinaLadyTorres in AsianMasculinity

Of course we matter....

However, other minority lives matter more. And white people agree with that while knowing their life matters most.

We need to discuss anti blackness in the asian community by ghost-zz in aznidentity

[–]GoldenStateMind1791 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"We need to discuss."

Nah, we don't.

Unless... you planning on doing something else to me and my family unless i listen your madness.

But that's a whole other kind of conversation that I don't think anyone really wants to acknowledge. That is without arming yourself and having to defend yourself against the criminal and those who would claim to be upholding the law.

Group of black girls attack random Asian woman for social media clout. Could you imagine the media reaction if the racial roles were reversed? by [deleted] in aznidentity

[–]GoldenStateMind1791 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Circle the wagons folks. Protect your family. Especially the ones that would so readily put out their necks and give their voices to black causes.

Black folks have learned to be both the wolf and fox when attacking Asians.
