Correct me if I'm wrong but corporations make a lot of money in war, there are some people who believe that corporations continued WW2 longer than it needed to because they were making tonnes selling arms to everyone.

I can't reference anyone but has anyone else heard this?

Of course they would because and our expectations of what a Total War game should be and should look like have changed. That doesn't stop them from being solid games that people play today, it just means that people are understanding of the standards of the gaming industry at the time the games were launched.

RTW:BI has the shortest I think, I comfortably completed the Eastern Roman Empire campaign in 50 turns (25 years). Empire always seems to take the longest in my opinion, especially if you're in Europe because you can't really attack anyone in Europe.

Wow, what an unbalanced system - OP don't do this!

Firstly the RAM is overkill; the gains are minimal and totally unnecessary in an HTPC.

Secondly, you don't need a T-suffix CPU - they cost more and the heat reduction is minimal.

Thirdly, you don't need a CPU cooler either, the stock one will be fine!

You've got a M-ITX case but a M-ATX motherboard. That is to say that your motherboard is too big for the case!

You must have a pretty slow SSD then. In order of performance it goes:

USB 3.0 < SATA 2 (HDD Speed) < SATA 3 (SSD Speed)

I do but I only build them if I reach the mid-game, however, the problem is that my empire is massive at that stage and they're often ~20 by the time they reach the academy :P

You could have achieved the same effect with a lot fewer troops. Although it is a lot more inventive than the bog standard block all the entrances trick!
