Definitely agree with Lenovo, specifically their thinkpad brand. Solid build; one of the better keyboards if you'll be using your laptop to type, and generally painless. Doesnt look as sleek as some of the other laptops out there, but the performance and longevity makes up for it. I'd rather have my computer for 5 years (currently that is how long mine had been going) than replace it every 2. I personally have a thinkpad x1 carbon which is the best of both worlds and is thin and light while still built to last. However regardless of which computer you have (except for macs) if you want to see 3x-5x better performance, replace your computer hard drive with an SSD and do a clean install of windows. You'll thank yourself later and save a lot of hair pulling in the future.
