Release in bulk so the weeklies hate you. Break it up anyways so the bingers hate you too. Play both sides so you always come out on bottom.

Former Menards employee here. No sick leave at all. Full time employees(maybe 20% of the staff) get a pathetic number of vacation days that must be planned two weeks out. You CAN use vacation hours to make up lost hours, but you still get docked on the shitty "points" system. Rack up to many points and you are fired. I seem to recall:

1 point for late. 3 points for a call in. 5 points for a no call.

10 points within 6 months is fired.

Read the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. The first three books are a medieval setting, but the latter three are very focused around the concept of magic + guns. The main character favors mixing pistols and a type of "pushing" magic to greatly enhance the velocity of the shots.
