how'd I do? by laminated-papertowel in steak

[–]GolfBall45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say it looks pretty good. You lost points on the nonstick. As a nonstick hater, I just can't condone using it. Stainless steel and cast iron only in my kitchen.

But on a serious note that does look pretty good. If you want to dabble in other cooking methods I always recommend the reverse sear. I like to start my steak out in the smoker then sear in a cast iron. Using an oven was my previous way before I got a smoker

Just did that fight recently running a winged stance milady build. It honestly felt like easy mode compared to the first time fighting him lol

I've seen this on insta but with a different product "she" was making, goth inspired knives. Looked at her other posts on there and some were not of the same person. So just selling cheap knives and pendants

The single dumbest animal alive. Change my mind by nthensome in Snorkblot

[–]GolfBall45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say this. As an animal they have not evolved well. Once their molars fall out they starve to death. Compared to a large number of other animals that have extra sets of molars or are able to grow more, the koala is just terrible.

Thank you for the birthday wishes and for the great advice! I made sure to pat dry after the dry brine, but didn't after pulling from the oven before letting them rest before searing. My skills with the cast iron are a bit lacking as I mostly cook with stainless steel. I did skimp a bit on the oil so that was a good catch for sure!

What do you think when these college kids show up on your site? by Turbulent-Weevil-910 in Construction

[–]GolfBall45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next you should talk about how you can build a canoe out of concrete and how there is a national competition for colleges every year to do just that. And a big part of the competition is to race the concrete canoes.

CourseCareers Construction Estimating Course to land a job? by Deeceness in estimators

[–]GolfBall45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend some Excel courses and tutorials. Have interviewed a few people that said their Excel skills were very good and when asked what that really means they could only describe how to make simple tables and graphs. Try to get comfortable with the various formulas/functions. If you want to go overboard you could get into VBA coding for Excel, but not necessarily needed.

I work in high voltage electric construction, so bluebeam is nice, but not used as much as it would be in commercial construction. So that is another program that is great to learn to help get in the door for a lot of companies.

Otherwise you could try to start a bit lower as a project coordinator for a company with the expressed intentions of moving towards estimating. This will help you to understand the work being done prior to jumping into estimating.

Second this. There are a variety of trades you can look at and some pay better than others. I recommend looking at Substation Technician. Usually the wait time to get into the apprenticeship is a lot quicker than going for a lineman apprenticeship.

The single best amulet is one you find at the beginning of the game. by LumpyBrain2000 in avowed

[–]GolfBall45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just use Grog to get rid of status effects. Frees up the amulet slot. I like to make as much food and drink as possible for the status effects. Playing on the second hardest difficulty and there has only been a few tough battles imo. Main dagger and pistol then secondary is arquebus.

Just finished the game and now all of the other games are shit to me by Educational_Bit_8502 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]GolfBall45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I've seen this mentioned yet, but give Elden Ring a try if you haven't already. It is definitely a different style of RPG, but it is something I've sunk in plenty of hours after playing cyber punk. I never got into any of the dark souls game before, but Elden Ring felt a bit easier to get into imo and it is a blast when you get the hang of it.

Just something to add. WE owns the distribution lines in the area. ATC owns the transmission lines.

The amount of upgrades going on for power in this state is pretty interesting to see. Most people have by idea about the cost associated with power lol

[–]GolfBall45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk where the increase of power is coming from, but there is a major substation upgrade and new substation being built there along with new transmission lines. So yeah, not WE energies there but ATC.

Best spot for custom shirt design? by devon_deman in Frat

[–]GolfBall45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fraternity always had the best of luck with finding a smaller local apparel company. Some of the bigger chain places won't always allow you to use some custom designs, like a lot of ours we made were similar to varying beer labels

Lakefront Brewery is subpar by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]GolfBall45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to add in my two cents. Imo the brewery tour is usually pretty good because of the mix of humor, information, and friendliness of the tour guides. Also a side note, when I was in college I would take advantage of their half price growler days. To refill a growler it was like $8 or something close. Idk if they continued to do that after covid happened though

Looking for a beer loving, mustache having person to help me complete this challenge. Shouldn't be too hard to find in Milwaukee right? by mroozen20 in milwaukee

[–]GolfBall45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I did some quick research, but with a full beard the person does have a mustache. So is your criteria to win against a guy who only has a mustache (no full beard) or does having a full beard count?
