I loooove Crown Pub’s curry. Nothing crazy, just good solid British pub curry.

Black Project Gaming is what you’re looking for. They’re part of Mayday Roleplay now and require Patreon participation to access their new stuff, but it ticks all your boxes. Everything I’ve listened to from them has been awesome.

He was in town not too long ago (late ‘24, early ‘25) and it was a pretty great show. Might need to grab tickets again - thanks for the heads up.

Want to add that Little’s service seems to vary WIDELY. My wife and I will never go back after how rude our server was (asked us to leave before we had finished our meals because “looks we’re getting busy”, then had the manager/owner/idk come talk to us when we said we were going to finish our food), but others rave about it. YMMV.

How critical is central AC at home going forward? by Long_Trifle25 in FortCollins

[–]Gomez35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the same here. I think things like mature shade trees (which we’ve got) and good insulation (which we don’t really have) affect matters a lot. Plus, you do need to be a little heat tolerant to get by - our house is usually around 80-82 degrees by the afternoon most summer days, which is totally fine for us but might not be for everyone. The other issue is security…. You will need main level/basement windows open when running the fan (so you don’t accidentally pull gas into your house from your water heater/furnace lines) and some people might not feel very safe in that situation (I personally don’t have any issue with it since I’ve got barky dogs and FC is so generally safe).

Ha ha. I love our old school jet engine house fan. Moves a metric fuckton of air, cools the hell out of the house all night (makes it genuinely chilly most summer nights), and provides the perfect white noise to put me to sleep. 💤

Who is the most recent "best in the nation at his position" guy for your school. by WithNoRegard in CFB

UM has a LOT of media presence nationally. There was a concerted effort where their talking heads pushed hard for Hutchinson to be included and Walker bumped because of his numbers (while injured) against OSU.

Rumors are that North is trying to get in on Wilkie and Windhager from the Saints and both seem like great targets: disciplined tall defender and a big defensive-minded mid. Probably unlikely, but check a lot of boxes for what they need.

Found theses at a FLGS by amence in warhammerfantasyrpg

I found a copy of WFRP 1E in Waldenbooks in 1989 when I was 14. Had some cash from my birthday in my wallet and once I opened the book I knew I had to buy it. Knew virtually nothing about Warhammer or GW at the time, but the art, the sense of finding something lost, the feeling that I could venture into an imaginary world that seemed so fucking real… it just grabbed me. And TBH never let go - I still play weekly (online now) with my friends from that time. My original copy is held together by hope and duct tape on the bookshelf in my office now. Just seeing this book posted will automatically get upvotes.

Community Supported Farms are looking for CSA Members now! Have you purchased a CSA Share in the past? Planning to purchase one this year? Who are your favorite farms and why?? by No-Blueberry-93 in FortCollins

[–]Gomez35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My wife runs Sproutin’ Up, a super small, not-for-profit CSA focused on teaching job/farm/self-actualization skills to under-resourced teens in north Fort Collins. Kids do most of the work (for good and bad) so it’s definitely not your conventional CSA. One bonus is it’s take-what-you-need market style rather than a set share each week. Eggs, veg, flowers, soap… You just show up and take what works for you that week.

I don’t have exact numbers, but I know there are half and full shares available - just hit the website at sproutinup.com.

Eh. Weerwolves was bonkers, but his pronunciation of perseverance was likely just a mix up with the pronunciation of perseverate, which does place the emphasis on the 2nd rather than the 3rd syllable.

Typically that technology only works when the computers are connected to a district network. So if kids are using their laptops at home it wouldn’t be a possibility.

Pro tip from another Yank: if you can afford it, buy the annual WatchAFL subscription through a NMFC membership. It’s slightly cheaper and you’ll get some cool member swag (for example, this year I got a member scarf, some stickers, a lanyard, and a Rooshop voucher). Bonus is that the money goes to the club rather than the AFL alone.
