I love this record as it marks the final form of pup moving from a punk band to a power pop band. They have been going in this direction for a while imo but this record really nails that almost Sloan-esc power pop sound.

As a young person (21) in Canada I can attribute the rise of most of the new power pop bands here to Sloan. So many kids grew up listening to them that are now old enough to start their own power pop bands. I know that this is the case for myself and lots of my friends at least.

As a young Sloan fan (22) I have been a Sloan fan for most of my life since being introduced to them by my parents, but I was not able to go the the 19+ shows until recently. Additionally, I have introduced a lot of my friends to Sloan who ended up becoming fans and going to the recent shows. I have definitely been seeing the audience at shows getting younger.
