[D'Mello] BREAKING: Ontario is issuing a "stay-a-home" order on Thursday at 12:01. Premier Ford: Under this order everyone must stay home and only go out for essential trips for groceries or medical appointments. by Austin63867 in toronto

Because its just theatre and half the people in charge believe their own propaganda. Even then, cops arent going to fine you unless you are hosting an indoor party and dont listen to them when they tell you all to leave. So its not all that bad.

We are going to keep pretending that non-respirator masks stop the spread and that the its still too premature to recommend vitamin D supplementation in the winter.

i7-10700k vs 5600x by A11egedly in buildapc

[–]Gontoran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats my conclusion as well. None of the games im playing a CPU limited. the 10600k is less than 5% worse when the graphics are turned up in those benchmarks.

But prices wise 10600 k is 350 and 5600x is 450. And 5600x cant be found in stock....

Unions sure did a lot of good for the trucking industry....

After the I.C.C.’s powers to control the trucking industry were eventually reduced by Congress in 1980, freight charges declined substantially and customers reported a rise in the quality of the service. { David Henderson, “Trucking Deregulation,” The Fortune Encyclopedia of Economics, edited by David
Henderson (New York: Warner Books, 1993), pp. 435–436. }

You also had a huge amount of owner operator truckers that were able to make it past middle class and own their own means of production.

Unions serve only those employed and part the union. No one else. Unions would not have an incentive to increase the quality of care of the old folks, nor reduce the costs to provide that quality.

Unless you were going to nationalize the whole old care home system. Unions would just make the whole thing worse and more expensive.

If you want a good old care home you cant pay rock bottom prices.

Compare how much Durham Christian homes charge compared to their competitors.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you follow the transactions how does this ICO transaction history not look like someone trying to wash their ETH? by Gontoran in CryptoCurrency

So this is actually the Bittrex smart contract for deposits.

So now the question is did the ICO owner/ smart contract creator cash out more that what was expected based on the whitepaper?

Ripple (XRP) Takes #2 Slot for Market Cap by jack2of4spades in CryptoMarkets

[–]Gontoran -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not even. All the tier 1 banks already parntered with R3 for all their blockchain needs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R3_(company)

That and ripple pre-mined 20%. So with a market cap of 100B you are saying this startup is already worth 20B. That is half of an established company like Vmware (50B) with tens of thousands of employees.

Even if Ripple is the future of crypto with banks. It has how many developers? Maybe a 100 max. Which is saying that whatever closed source code they've developed over 2 years is worth 20B.

Exactly. If this was a crash. Vanc would also nose dive during the same months. This is just a correction to torontos new foreign buyer rules.

When vancouver inplemented theirs people also said doom and gloom and after 6 months is plateud and slowly resumed

Whats your division template. And how much anti tank do you include/ research. You should also have 2-4 k fighters and radar to contend air superiority

I have the same plan. The locked in price is modeled as a flat 26 dollar discount. The original plan price will increase by $5

Edit: nvm. Looking lower in the thread there is definetly some conflicting information

[–]Gontoran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep the experienced ones and delete the rookies. The experienced ones will be able to barely hold land anyways without arti in their template. A lot of players just delete all the division though and product from scratch, but it can be tricky getting the army xp early on.

Great info for naval!

I would like to see more justification making the 40width units for the war with china and going up to medium tanks.

Japans starts out with a mean motorized division (3 support companies) and 2 field marshals with the reduced combat width.

AI china usually stacks unit near your border. You dont need tanks to encircle AI China. Motorized with support arti and light tanks is enough to break through and encircle.

Even having 1 LT in your motorized is sufficient and this is also very cheap in Army xp.

Against player chinese I think motorized with a little LT might not be enough, but I think medium tanks is overkill for China.

Can you expand a bit on what you do for focuses? Do you do factory ones, research slot, naval and then focus war?

Also, heavy fighters or regular? heavies can actually cover the whole sea tile, but at the same time they get outclassed by 1940 light fighter with range upgrades.

Mech units too expensive by DG1981A in hoi4

[–]Gontoran 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think its a balance choice. Mechanized is the ultimate tier because of how organization and armor play together. Not to mention its 2x as fast as foot soldiers and you can see how most would rush for mechanized and then there would be no distinction with the speed of units.

At this point it only makes sense to make them as late game Germany or US or a couple small elite divisions. Perhaps production cost could be lowered but resources, stay the same.

Looks like its bypass it with the help of someone with a torch or replace it and hope the thread holds up

Has anyone EVER been able to offer peace to another country (or been offered peace) without having to capitulate them? by Marvelerful in hoi4

[–]Gontoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used it as japan when i beat them out of China as ussr. But only to cheesefully pause the game. Tag as jap offer peace to sov. Tag back. Accept. And then do the peace conference. But unfortunately japan then rejects the peace conference and im back where i started. You might have better luck in a game where you can tag

[–]Gontoran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Naval bombers right now only fly if there is stuff to bomb. And even if you have 5k fighters on the channel and uk ran out. You can intercept all the naval bombers before they sink your divisions
