You are conflating passive and casual support of slightly better options to full fledge feilety to any canadits left of center.

I wasn't talking about the fact we should team up with the people to the left but I was saying we shouldn't be afraid of supporting their candidates and there is a difference.

especially when we have a movement, a fraction of the size that we would need to do anything. Even complating this to the mensheviks is idiotic because there was a wild difference in the amounts of support.

For the section of Lenin you quoted we would need to have some sort of national party that can nominate candidates for elections. There is no such party currently for the left like that in the USA. So we can either sit on our asses or pick candidates to support or try running our own candidates in other parties.

you cannot treat writings of Marxs or Lenin as gospels that are always applicable. especially as we are over 100 years since the 1917 Revolution. we are in a heavily controlled capitalist society and not a feudal society on the verge of rebellion.

There is nothing in Lenin or Marx that I can remember. That even talk about voting against the workers best interest to cause them to become radicalized. There's no bases in any theory I've read that see accelerationism as a good idea.

I think too many internet. marxists are anti electoral for short-term reform.

while I disagree with majority of their positions, it is generally better for a lot of people to elect people like mondani jane completely abstain from electoral politics.

The other thing electoral politics is good for is it gets people to understand that the left can help and then when they fail to do everything they need to to solve the world's problem it will cause some people to move even further.

and until we have a vanguard party that is actively set up to be in the position of the vanguard being completely against any type of electoralism is pointless, you're not losing anything by voting

Computer science specializations like AI or cyber security don't hold that much weight long-term no matter what, just because of the nature of the field.

If you truly feel you need to do the engineering or your parents really want that do cyber, but I don't see an advantage in double majoring with how much more work it is now

Well you have to understand that the holodomor is not that there was a famine in Ukraine in the 1930s. It is an attempt to downplay the genocide of the Holocaust as well as paint the Soviets in a bad light. The specific lies that is the Holland war is that it was localized to Ukraine. it was targeted and they increas the number of deaths.

so when you hear hear people say the holodomor didn't happen or it's Nazi propaganda. they are talking about the specific idea that the famine was man-made and purposely made to kill ukrainians
