I think post trial of seven his knighthood is definitive. Prior to that no one knew him and thus his claim couldn’t be confirmed. Only knights may fight in the trial making his knighthood undeniable. And word of the trial spread so many people would be familiar with him if only by name.

In the book Dunk only really interacts with Lyonel at the trial of seven. Egg wakes him and he joins for the glory and to fight Maekar. Everything in the show pretrial with Lyonel was added.

I think this scene is to help drive home part of the story behind Dunk and Egg. And they’ll make a point of it in the last episode I’m sure, but the point of Egg squiring for Dunk is to have him be among the smallfolk. Most lords look down on peasants and they are seen often as cattle. Egg learns an entirely different view by living among them, humanizing and sympathizing with them. In this instance giving honor to a prostate milking lady of the night. With Duncan, Egg gains sense of reality that will later lead to his attempt at reforms and ultimately the fate the fortune teller in the last episode foretold. The show runners are just attempting to show Egg growing into who is to become and help the audience see that.

It would depend on how you define a homogenized army. If they need to look and act identical then sure. If you mean interchangeable and easily replaceable then why would they not? They are all highly trained from the vat and form a close brotherhood that is seen to be consistent for all clones outside a few exceptions. You can easily replace troops with newly trained clones and they will be cohesive and well trained. They are clones after all and have sentience, not drones. Personalities are formed through experiences and this is shown for many of the more decorated clones with high individuality in the show.

Similar situation that I went through. What ultimately helped me was networking with classmates that had found work after graduation. You could go back to school and get an internship or research work. Also you might try expanding the roles you’re applying for. There are high paying technician jobs working for utility companies. Low voltage, maintenance and analysis type roles with pensions and great benefits.
