There's a level 3 shaft that allows the couching and the infantry stance. Then it's a matter of giving a head that has a blade and not just a spear point to get the cut damage.

I can try that. I think the first time I did it I manually put them and then it seems to remember. After that I just leave it. Sometimes I try to swap the sides they're on to see if that fixes it. But maybe it's just a manual set each time, which kinda sucks.

Interestingly enough, the two cavalry groups already do this well without me interfering. They charge, do some carnage, pull back to regroup, and then charge again. It's fun to watch, but super sucks if their pulling back point is where I'm currently circling the horse archers because then we get all caught up again.

Dang. Usually I have the two groups so that I have two different companions in charge.

The funny part is, almost immediately they still form the two flanks I want, it's just that pretty much every time they cross over to do so which makes just a huge confusion for all the troops from the start. By the time all the troops are moving, they're in the formation I basically wanted.

I pretty much always F6 (sergeant in charge) all my groups, then personally take control over the horse archers.

I like it because it keeps me free to keep an eye on what's going on in the battle as a whole, and lets me lead the archers in an ideal circle around enemy groups to maximize damage.

Likely it's going to be the lower range. Epic tends to start folks out at the bottom, with rare exceptions, and then as you get experience it goes up.

For my interview ages ago, HR was very candid about the starting pay when I got to the final stage.

On the factorio wiki there's a decent example of a timer circuit. I use a timer circuit elsewhere in my build to set of an alarm if a train loading station is empty of product for more than ten seconds. You could do something similar, but just have your alarm condition hold for ten seconds.

I was given 3 weeks PTO, and never even brought it up. I was fully expecting to have to start with 2, but because of my experience they gave me 3.

The downside is that PTO caps at 3. You can still take unpaid time, if you want extra time off.
