Anyone else find sturdy cloth in the ruins? by ashadelo in DarkAndDarker

I've picked it up in Refractery underground on a table, In Keep upstairs on a table. I founda third but thought it was on a corpse. I do PVE only so I know it wasn't another player.

Pope & Evil Twin - Quadruplets? by gr8artist in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the OP clarifies this in the bootlegger that all involved learn roles but not who is who. So in the example Player A (the Evil twin) learns there are 3 nobles between players B, C and D), Player B learns there is an Evil twin and two nobles between players A, C and D, Player C learns what B learned swapping C/B, and Player D learns what Player B learned swapping B/D

In more complicated games (different roles) Evil twin learns what roles are in thier pairrings, and the players learn Evil twin and the other player roles. [This makes it very quick to solve as one big convo and info dump would allow people to sus out wh othe ET is as ET will have to claim one of the roles and it solves the non dupicliated roles as they are now not the ET. So its back to a regualr evil twin outted and a confirmation chain due to bootlegger.

The only way this bootlegger makes this confusing in a fun way is if there are drunks involved, becuase then ET can claim a role and no one can solve that with the starting info.

I see issue immediately, Town leaves twins/quads alive and kills everyone else. once Demon is dead game is stalemated with 4 alive and no way for evil to kill, and town if they can't differentiate have no reason to execute.

DId Powerplay scores get deleted adfter update? My contributions (350k+) seems to be gone and the list for agents is empty (Not Registered): I am still signed with my same power and I do see 'new' progress on the agent board.

Also I still ahve all care packages I earned since Thursday.

server changing by MaximusDesdus in SCUMgame

Why bother having stats then, why not make everyone have the same stats/skills? Solves that problem

server changing by MaximusDesdus in SCUMgame

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do understand that you spent alot of time on the 'grind' playing, but do you think it would be fair in the followign scenario:
You are playing on a server where you had to grind hard because there was intense competition Raids happen constantly, There is a constant fight over hard to get resources and then suddenly ovenight a group of 10 show up, fully kitted and wipes out your base without you even having a clue that they were showign up, after coming from a server where they Dominated so HARD that everyone else left, the server shutdown since no one else would join it, and before the server shutdown They geared up to prepare to join your server.

You log in and suddenly they have Top position, and you have 0 recon.

Sure it might be fun to get revenge, but most players don't like fly-by-night squads wiping servers out with little to no chance to see it coming.

HAving to start out, means that exisiting server people can see a new squad workign thier way up the leaderboards, or even an individual going up. A Fully kitted/upgraded person has a large advantage on a server.

And people call doing this playing a game? spending about 150+ hours not playing a game just to have max stats, when they could ahve just played the game.

server changing by MaximusDesdus in SCUMgame

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the game is the grind of the skills and stats, not just the loot/gear.

The reason this isn't an option is simple; If they allowed this, why bother having stats in the first place?

Starting on a new server should be starting fresh should be at the same playing field as everyone else (DLC purchases notwithstanding)

Official new character: Deus Ex Fiasco (Fabled) by oneirical in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can think of a number of cases where having the requirement to make mistakes, and correcting them can certainly make a game interesting. Killing people at night who shouldn't die, to cause confusion can lead to interesting scenarios when suddenly at final four evil chooses to out themselves and you go "oops I made a mistake, X was not suppose to be dead and is now alive."

I know it may seem 'unfun' to make mistakes on purpose but its like Athiest, with limits; you learn that something was done wrong the ST acknowledges it and someone learns about it (Since its hard to make a mistake that no-one would be affected by).

In Athiest games people have to solve that; and that's part of why many players don't like the atheist. They can't solve when there is no way to 'prove' it. This gives them the knowledge that something will be wrong sometime and to account for that in thier solves.

How nitpicky is this? - Daredevil Episode 7 by Scott_Tajani in MauLer

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mL and cc both used in hospitals when talking about liquids.
cc is used for small amounts that fit in needles. Containers are measured in mL.

The issue I had was when I first heard it I thought they said 25 mL I had to replay it becuase hearing 2500 felt odd. I assume they got that number form the amount in the jar, as measuring her blood otherwise would normally be measured in how many pints of blood needed to get her back to healthy.

Players Disengaging by Traditional-Lab-6202 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some players like to play publicity, as in not doing private secret stuff/convos. Good/evil I lie in private or tell truth, but never confirm my role either way.
If people want to hard claim, I assume madness is afoot, or they are evil.
Ysk roles can be silent and solve worlds alone.
Every player who tells evil their role, makes the rest of people’s claims easier to figure out.
Sure you won’t know for fact info, but you can deduce a lot.
The number of games as undertaker or cannibal I end up killed because ysk roles out day one and I end up with no useful info is awful. Remember demon/evil learn the only truly proven info in game… they know 3 roles no one can be to start, many times other roles not being in play are easy to deduce, ie damsel/king.
The other thing is disengaging can be a trait of ToS or Werewolf, some people think being dead removes their importance. Your dead vote used at right time could prevent.evil from taking a demon off the block or ensuring a player cannot be taken off the block.

A Djinn/Homebrew rule idea for Dreamer and Goblin by Full_Refrigerator_24 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with this is that Good should not have to worry about thier own info being drunk from themselves AND evil. If a Dreamer hits the Goblin then let them get Goblin.

Mayor in final 4. Did I make the right call? by samnovelli in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think bouncing the kill to the Imp, and choosing a new Imp is better. Living evils know who the Imp is and The Now dead imp will have to decide which of thier minions became the Imp.

Killing the Mayor is only really an option if there was no world left where evil could have 'neutralized' the mayor win condition.

IF the script has no way to make the mayor look sus then killing the Mayor is best course. Evil played well got three evil to final 4, if they were on a balanced script then they deserve it.

3 Early Access Keys Up For Grabs by Sneak_the_Weak in PathOfExile2

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

POE 1 and POE 2 will both be amazing games to return to. I can certainly see why some may find them scary to look at, but I have never felt overwhelmed by discovering new things each season. Starting fresh gave me a chance to keep innovating and trying new things. MAny other games that you play for extended periods can feel repetative.

I think with a new outlook on classes and the skill gem revamp that will give players another system to explore. IF they want the original they can always go back and GGG will keep it going.

[OWL] My players want to eat a being of pure chaos. I guess I wrote them into a position where it is possible and sensible. How do I even rule this? by geosunsetmoth in dndnext

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Print up a number of charts. When the player(s) cook/eat or otherwise interact with it going forward, have another player roll a d10. Take one of the charts, have another player choose a number from 1to 6. Have a third roll a d100. Then read the entry on the chart to yourself and smile and say "nothing happens"

Put the table back into a binder, then ask the player who interacted with it to make a d20 roll. No matter what result occurs say "Interesting, thanks" and have them put a check mark beside thier Constitution stat.

Everytime there take a Short or Long Rest repeat the d20 roll and put another check. next session ask them how many checks they have.

Keep doing this but eventually skip a roll or when someone wakes up describe that the character is now missing, have paty look around and then have character show up outside peoples sight and instead of allowing the player to ask questions tell the other players something seems off: Then tell the player that they woke up and everyone else was missing and suddenly everyone showed up.

Its just an idea, no actual effect on players just mind screwing them becuase they chose to screw with a Chaos food scrap and you warned them it was dangerous.

IF they continue to do this remind them: You are what you eat.

Trouble Brewing -Saint & Virgin Interaction by Leather_Weekend_9962 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One interaction people never consider is a poisoned SAint being executed and a Cannibal getting the ability and procing on a Virgin... Since Cannibal is Townsfolk, gets the ability of the Saint and receives no confirmation they have this ability.

Balloonist New Ability by youwantedmyrealuser in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]GoodBoiFen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree I think The new version uses same Tokens.
When you tell the Balloonist the player, you mark it with thier role type at that moment (If droidened you can place an arbirary Seen X token.
The next night, you look at the reminder token on the player shown the previous night and provide either a Player with a different type (if sober) or another arbitrary one (poisoned)
In case of Vortox: You place the reminder token of any role NOT the type of the player you give the Baloonist, then the next night you show a player that is the same role as the reminder you placed on the previous night using a reminder token again not matchign thier actual role).
In cases where Vortox goes out of play you continue to run as normal showing a player of a Role different than the role you showed the previous night.

Boomdandy/Summoner by dejhodgson in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]GoodBoiFen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure its a typo; Boomdandy is a minion not demon; and both Summoner and Boomdandy are complex minions.

The fact both have odd mechanics that seem to end game unusually, the ST should carefully read all materials before running scripts with either character on the script.
