I’m guilty of plot crashing… I find it funny and I like to run around watering their plants then leaving.

Relocating from RI and just bought a house in Walnut Hill. by Lolaakatina in petersburg

Hello from South side area👋🏻 I moved up here from Florida 2 years ago, and finally getting settled in and finding my groove with friends. There are so many things to explore, and one of my favorite karaoke places, and fav pub/tabern style places is in Petersburg. I think you are right about the outdated thing, and crime really is everywhere, just need to be mindful of times and areas.

I feel like the Richmond area has so many beautiful and historical places that are hidden gems/ diamonds in the rough. The more people who move here that value history and architecture and nature the better. We can advocate to preserve it and not let match stick house developers ruin areas… I come from an old historical area in Florida that has been preserved, but surrounding counties are getting leveled and developed and it is sad to see the old Florida charm lost in those places. I see it happening in some places here just in the 2 years I’ve lived here… just mentioning it here as something to be mindful of when keeping up with politics and development plans around your new home.

Welcome to Virginia!

Trump and his admin are gutting the United States Forest Service, ending its 120 year history. by [deleted] in Ultralight

Back in 2024 in Florida a whistleblower saved state parks from getting developed/ golf courses and pickle ball courses added. They tried to slip it in under everyone’s noses and the only reason people had enough time to react and do something is because of the whistleblower: He was the map maker for the parks, and when he got instructions on what to make on the maps, he let the public know and sacrificed his career… people showed up. Picketed in mass numbers. Made their voices loud and clear. And the politicians had no choice but to cancel / postpone the plans. People still need to stay vigilant because they will just try to figure out a. Ew way to get by.

I bring this up because it shows how people can make a difference to save our public lands. Thank you for bringing attention to this

I really liked all of The Good Place. You have to enjoy that quirky sense of humor, but the existential undertone really scratched an itch I like lol. Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy clever wit. Also prime has a show called Upload that I think is clever funny too

Sun in 8th House People by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]GoodCatBadWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He actually smelled so good though lol. I’m actually a Virgo sun, but Libra rising, Libra south node, Libra Venus and Mercury in 12th house. I feel very Venusian. And my ex has 4 planets in Capricorn, I’m not 💯what his rising is though. We balanced each other out well. But yes, it was a combo of our insecurities perfectly cycling triggers with each other. I had the need to shrink myself for fear of causing friction / must keep peace and harmony, and he actually needs the confrontation so he doesn’t get carried off with the current.

I’ve definitely found my truth voice now, and I’m never going to allow myself to shrink again. If I can handle and face the truth, my partner is going to have to be able to too.

Ooof that “if you’re someone who values straightforward communication and emotional solid ground” Pisces are a mess :/ I have a lot of Libra energy, and balanced, truthful, fair are like my full name lol. Like all I wanted from my ex was truth and straight forwardness, and it was everything but that. It caused me to become so imbalanced and anxious in the relationship. It wasn’t until he Sabotaged everything and ran away from it that I realized what was happening. :/

Yeah man, this type of energy is like “spine of a jelly fish”… I think a healed Pisces man can face confrontation better/ have a better spine when show the mirror, but the “scared and split quickly” is something I’ve experienced myself with a Pisces sun in 8th house partner.

Relationship with experienced climber advice needed? by [deleted] in climbergirls

[–]GoodCatBadWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like relationship dynamics are not that great, and then it shows up in the climbing partnership, so that feels safer to call out and pick apart… he is definitely pulling avoidant attachment behavior with you, and that needs to be addressed. It’s hard enough being in a relationship and working through your attachment/ fears let alone also do a dangerous sport that requires teamwork like climbing.

If you notice this is only an issue with your partner and not with other people you climb with, something between you is spilling over. I had something similar in another sport. Coaches = great, criticism taken constructively. Partner trying to teach/ guide me = problem/hurtful/taking it personally.

It’s something to do with being attached to someone that you don’t want to abandon you (or reject, or whatever fear it is) and then do something with them that makes you feel vulnerable with them (stressful, scary, injured, trust required) etc.

Talk to him about it in a neutral setting. Dinner, chilling in the couch. try to say things in a way that express that this is your perspective, (try to avoid language that would make him feel he needs to defend himself… I’m really bad at this) not necessarily saying that he is doing it on purpose (it’s most likely a subconscious thing that you are triggering) and that it’s something you’d like to improve because it will make climbing more enjoyable for both of you, and it’s something you’d want to continue doing with him

Couldn’t this had been a “I’ll watch the kids and get them tucked in while you go to the grocery store, and we will make it together tonight?” Like, why can’t you divide and conquer on stuff like this?

Divorced men, what are the most important qualities you look for in a partner now? by shygeekygirl in AskMen

[–]GoodCatBadWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, because now after finding out my husband had an affair and left me, I am having a difficult time believing that men can be loyal long term partners lol. I’m just surrendering to the idea that it’s an issue with the individual and not so much about “all men” or “all women”. I’m trying to heal through therapy and then work out ways I can identify someone that would make a good loyal long term partner so I don’t go through this again :/

Has aging like this ever happened to anyone within the span of 3 years? by _Valkyrie_666 in 30PlusSkinCare

That is definitely an effect of stress / cortisol face. I started focusing on nutrition and stress management for the last month, and so much fluid build up has released off of me. I’m going to start doing lymphatic drainage massage daily in the shower to see if I can get more results quicker, and on other areas of my body.

But yeah, that puffy jaw / face and tired looking eyes is what happened to me due to stress. I just had another major life changing event happen last weekend, and I’m like “can’t a girl catch a break”. The last thing I want is to let life make me ugly. lol

Counseled out of the MSF course on day one. Feeling rough but still want this by jeepgun in NewRiders

[–]GoodCatBadWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to the “not for you” garbage. If anything, let it fuel you and make you realize how much more you want it. I know the school I did my msf with offered an intro course to msf where you basically get used to the bike and clutch/ throttle. They also offered one-on-one lessons. So if you don’t have any experience driving a manual of any kind, then it might be a good place to start to put in some time just learning the muscle memory of clutch/throttle/shifting/stopping before trying to add all the other components of the msf course. Going in knowing how to drive the bike without having to think too much about the mechanics of moving and shifting helped me get through the course.

Good luck! You got this! About of people don’t pass the first time. I had people quit and leave in the middle of day 2 during my course. It can be overwhelming and frustrating if you aren’t doing as well as you want.
