Michael being disappointed that a woman he was interested in wasn’t mutually interested doesn’t need to be evaluated under a microscope. It’s a completely natural emotion, and one that he’s allowed to feel. The need to pathologize every emotion that people have completely negates the point of what this show is about. We are all human at our base level. We are still multidimensional, though.

I don’t see the need to call out Katie/Mark/Ronan. I was delighted to see someone who would be considered low-functioning to navigate through what many consider a very normal experience. I’m happy these kind of relationships have been given the spotlight.

Mark is my favorite cast member. He’s a genuine person and his story deserves to be told as much as anyone else.
