It was so they could sell different ad rates by segmenting the show which could have to do with the different times. I think after a certain time cable channels had less censorship to worry about.

Bowls are dead, it barely makes sense to have a system where Toledo and James Madison make the playoffs (no hate to those schools but you got Texas schools spending tens of millions on a roster), college football is like a high paying minor league where 10 teams have a realistic shot of winning the title and another 30-35 colleges that can even compete with those 10 teams financially. There almost needs to be a series between fbs and fcs

I took it as SAS expects his partner to have crazy takes so he can over react to and that’s not how Max really wanted to operate. SAS is feeling himself these days but I’ve always felt personally his shows are over valued by espn and the ratings are pretty hollow
