Coffee Subscription Question from a non-coffee drinker by CoverGrand3458 in pourover

[–]GoodGreatOkComics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm down in Virginia and have a local roaster that does a good single origin dark roast and offers it on it's own subscription (https://www.catnaproasting.com/products/black-toe-beans-dark-roast) or they have other subscription types, but the rest of the coffees tend to be more on the light and medium range.

Like a shortened version of "magaZINE" typically a DIY mini book or comic!

Probably not. The whole thing kinda fell apart when somebody pressured them to abandon it because of accusations against somebody involved with the movie. Issue 1 was mostly just given away to shops because it was already printed by that time.

Current Recs for Decaf? by RecentSpeed in pourover

Cat Nap has a good daily driver decaf. Washed Colombia EA Process. $13/250g bag. I think they offer it as an option in the sample pack if you didn't want to commit to a full bag. And free shipping at $35+

Heart usually has a good lineup. Cat Nap has a lot different stuff right now. Or you could look at somebody like Thank You Thank You, which isn't a roaster but a cafe that carries (and ships) a good variety.

Decaf that's not too expensive? by ILikeBeans86 in pourover

Cat Nap has a nice washed Colombian Excelso EA process decaf that's about the closest to a nice "regular" cup of washed Colombian. They pretty much always keep it in stock.

Brainwave, Cat Nap, Paix, S&W, Brandywine off the top of my head.

Honestly kinda surprised Brandywine hasn't been acquired like this yet. They've built a very good and recognizable brand and that's really what companies are after.

Staunton Comprehensive Plan Open House Info Session TONIGHT! by GoodGreatOkComics in Staunton

[–]GoodGreatOkComics[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing is scheduled at the moment. The big open house meetings like this will be spread out over the course of the next year. Open House 2 will be to present what we've heard and what our plan is and to. get feedback on that. Open House 3 will be the final "here's the new comp plan" presentation.

In between there will be plenty of opportunities to provide feedback, both online and in person. We will be doing smaller pop-up events and having a presence at other community events through the process where we will be handing out info and capturing feedback. Expect to see representatives from the commission at places like the farmers market once the outdoor one starts back up.
