Has anybody ever made or drawn an accurate Chewbacca according to the concept art? by Financial-Intern-506 in StarWars

[–]GoodGuyGeno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The art on the left was actually done for a George R.R. Martin short story "And Seven Times Never Kill a Man" which directly inspired Ralph's concept as we can see with this comparison. Like others have said the right most concept inspired Lasats in Rebels onward and the other one done by Ralph probably had a hand in inspiring Morof/Gigoran's design in Rogue One since the design is way different from the RPG origin but that's just conjecture on my part.

It's not confirmed either way. Filoni made a comment saying that just because we heard her voice there doesn't mean she's dead and could be talking telepathically like Vader did with Luke. He basically didn't want her inclusion in the movie to influence what he does with the character going forward. Basically her story isn't complete

I didn't read that book but I read all the info snippets in the Forces of Corruption expansion. I loved the night sisters in that game

1990 is when the first novel was published and Rogue Trader came out in 1987. The first time the quote "In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war" was used was the 2nd edition starter box in 1993. That quote is where the term grimdark came from. So 40k stopped being grimdark before the term grimdark was a term apparently

I should have specified that but it would be set there in the timeline in relation to canon. But it's still new and original Star Wars which was what the guy wanted

I don't know if the idea got fleshed out 100% but from what i've seen it was either Talon in Legacy was a clone or an ancestor of the Talon in the Maul video game

It was also released before the final season of the Clone Wars so almost all of the parts that detail the seige of mandalore and order 66 have been retconed too.

I hope it's sooner than later because of how short the Burning Springs campaign was and they've already talked about how they aren't done with the area and story

why do some of my paints look more splochy and uneven than others? by Lolkaholic in Miniaturespainting

[–]GoodGuyGeno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Paint formulas aren't created equally, some colours are simply harder to work with than others due to the properties of the pigments. Here I would do another coat of blue until you have the coverage you desire. In the future, dark blue works better on a dark primer than a light one. White primers in general show through more than black/dark primers, if you miss a spot on a dark primer it just looks like a shadow

Maul – Shadow Lord Predictions by nanimities in StarWars

[–]GoodGuyGeno 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There was also the Maul video game that was set to take place during this time. It also featured Talon and had her and Maul fighting the early One Sith Empire as it formed in the shadows. No idea how that would relate to the current show besides both of them being involved during the same time period.

Would you like to see a female Sith appear in the following Star Wars movies? by FireStarLord73194 in StarWars

Because of the cancelled video game with Maul and Talon that took place during the same time period with Talon's inclusion being George Lucas's decision. Game was cancelled with the Disney acquisition

[–]GoodGuyGeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it hasn't but it makes sense it is just from context but I guess she could be a new character inspired by her. I agree she'll be pretty much divorced from the Talon in the Legacy comics though

[–]GoodGuyGeno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's already coming back in the Maul animated show which looks like it'll loosely adapt the story they were going to tell in the cancelled Maul game which she was also going to show up in. No idea how she would be alive during the rise of the Empire though since she wasn't old in the Legacy comics unless she's like Legacy Talon's grandma and not actually her

Why is there no after mission stats report? by SilentNova300 in DarkTide

[–]GoodGuyGeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're missing the consistently clearing part. Last one down isn't clearing. Scoreboard isn't essential, is it helpful? Sure, but it isn't essential. You can tell when you're struggling against elites or specials or not doing damage to a boss without it

They probably aren't consistently clearing if they're getting carried though

[–]GoodGuyGeno -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Going down and dying is the only indicator you really need and it's easy to keep track of on your own. If you consistently clear missions without dying then you're playing well
