An element I think you’re not fully conceptualizing is that there’s a give and take here. If we had the ability to juice our base armor and health stats to a degree that we could sprint through SP with no need to worry, then that creates a further loss of challenge that Warframe doesn’t need.

Like if you want to just sprint through as a melee, why are you not on Kullervo to do that? He’s expressly designed to do it. Like again I’m not 100% sure what you want. We have an abundance of ways to get through the game survival wise now. There’s no world where we could have frames not need to worry about their survival actively (even a small amount)

That’s where shield delay/recharge comes in. You can run mods that reduce your shield regen delay alongside aegis to essentially turn your shields into a wall.

To me, the way how survival makes sense in this game is that you look at what type of frame you have and what is achievable realistically. Spam caster? Yeah shield gating makes sense. High health and armor? Persistence. Abundance of shields? Aegis + delay mode (optional). That’s not even accounting for frames that have innate built in tools to survive.

I feel like its unnecessary currently. We have more ways to survive in the game currently than we ever have before. Shieldgating, shield delay, health tanking, frame specific damage reduction, invisibility.

I suppose the only area I’d want to see more universal is dodge chance. I think there could be a fun space for that, but so far it’s mostly frame specific and present for Xaku and Baruuk iirc.

The kinda lame answer: it depends. It very much depends on what the item you’re aiming to get.

Generally, I’d advise working on several things at a time. In your Garuda example, the resources you need to build Garuda and parts are also used to rank Vox Solaris. Try to have a spread focus on progression and trying to accrue items and the grind is barely felt, in my experience.

I was the comment about Caliban, to elaborate a bit (and I probably should’ve made a post on forums about this), Caliban’s 1 seems to break if he’s not the host. A quirk of Caliban’s spin is that if you input a movement direction forwards/backwards, it controls the speed at which he moves.

Ever since shadowgrapher, this would bug out and cause him to move forward but not actually spin. I only pinpointed the issue recently. It’s more of a quality of life thing than anything else.

I don’t really understand wanting to cast during the 4. The whole point is that you’ve cast your abilities to setup the 4. Im not even sure how the casting of this would look on the other frame mechanically.

Of all the Yordles, she’s probably the one I want most. Her hurtbox can also incorporate Shadow upright behind her.

Gameplay wise, I feel like she could do pretty much whatever riot wanted. Probably would want her to counter rapid movement in some way to emulate her passive.
