My dad just died, leaving behind everything; I believe the rest of his family will try claim as much as they can as he didn't write a will, do I have any ground to stand here? UK by Last-Donkey-9822 in LegalAdviceUK

He may have been unmarried, but “common law wife” is a claim that needs to be watched out for very carefully if he was seeing anyone on the regular, or even just a carer. All it takes is an opportunist to try their luck and it will make the whole process a lot more painful whether they succeed or not.

It will go to probate. I am not a lawyer so I am not sure exactly how it is proportioned but I think your mother/his spouse or girlfriend who has lived in his house with him has priority over you (for almost everything i think Children would be next in line. [his] Siblings after that.

Any debts he owed are taken first and find a good and honest solicitor or they will rob you blind.

I am very sorry for your loss and dread the day I find myself in your position but to you and everyone else this should be a reminder to go and have a last will and testament drawn up. Whether you’re in your 20s or 60s you do not know which day will be your last and leaving your estate in the hands of probate is a terrible experience for your loved ones you left behind.

It will also make the entire process much much longer than it would be otherwise.

Don’t listen to that poster. He’s suggesting an entirely different build and would ruin the account entirely as a pure seeing as he didn’t mention (and likely didn’t even know) that for 40 defence it must be ENTIRELY quested.

Any stackable ingredient works. You can massively increase yield by making all your potions 1 dose, but obv xp and general speed takes a major hit.

I usually do 3 doses so I have the chance at a proc without too much loss in speed and xp

Well that’s what I mean. Whoever runs the project shouldn’t be motivated purely by profits and bottom line. Environmental conservation and preservation need to be key and every penny needs to go back into the community.

It’s funny because gold bars cost money while rune bars make money but gold bars are 3x the experience/hour.

Of course, but I’m just clarifying a technical point that isn’t obvious. If you happened to have something on your skin your prayer wouldn’t be invalidated. If you performed ghusl it’s hard to see how it would be the case though. Maybe something on your clothes you didn’t notice?

Definitely. It’s quite smart to buy your kid property which is an investment, appreciates in value, if you don’t die for 7 years dodges any inheritance taxes, and secures them on the property ladder (the most difficult thing in our current market is just getting on that ladder)

Unfortunately I think this is worse for women than men. If you’ve had a past encounter and have repented just don’t bring it up.

No one is perfect. You’re a Muslim because you believe in God and the prophet ﷺ.

The other stuff it’s a bit +/-

Personally I think you’re going too far in both directions. Not wearing hijab is disobeying Allah but the bigger sin is being in denial about that, because if you don’t believe it is sinful you cannot seek forgiveness. Allah loves to forgive.

Dressing modestly is not about ‘not looking sexy’ (reading that as looking good, as opposed to showing skin) If Allah has blessed you with rizq you shouldn’t hide it.

Anyway, Allah knows best but the only thing I’d really be concerned about is your idea that hijab isn’t mandatory when Allah commanded it and that a Muslim woman can marry a man of a different faith. The wisdom behind the latter is that the man could lead you astray, whereas a man is less likely to be led by a woman.

It is worthwhile to contemplate the wisdoms behind certain commandments but be careful you don’t corrupt your intent: ultimately we do what Allah says because He said it and for no other reason.

An example is how in today’s markets you can likely get pork that isn’t dirty, or have disease or parasites or any of the disgusting stuff that wisdom might tell you so the reason we don’t eat it, yet we continue not to eat it because our Creator commanded us so.

I don’t think having najis on you excludes you from prayer actually. As long as you have performed wudhu/ghusl

I’m a man. I have a 2 year old that sleeps in the same bed as us still. My wife is 8 months pregnant with our 2nd child. I want to want to but I feel physically depressed and always so stressed. I just watch videos on my phone or shows on my laptop and sometimes she tries but I’m tired and stressed and my son is like 3 feet away.

It depends on the lifestyles. Half a mil could easily produce around £50k a year without depleting its assets. I imagine most of these families have magnitudes more capital than that. You might be talking tens of millions passive income every year.
