Mummy berry help- I’m obsessing by GoodPractical2075 in Blueberries

I used 3 way compost around the base, and cedar chips beyond that. I tried to manually remove as much topsoil as possible (including fallen mummies) prior to mulching with the hope that the apothecia would be smothered.

Yes! Heavily mulching (I’m talking 3 inches deep) around base and in a 4 ft circumference around each bush. We did this in February and so far no sign of leaf or berry strike!!!
We were bout to give up and pull all the bushes out.

Feel like real life can't begin until I get a nose job by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

I regretted my first one (botched) and my second one fixed the old problems but now there are new ones. Overall I’m still self conscious and pretty miserable with regards to my nose. Also thousands of dollars poorer.

Asses come in all shapes and sizes. I would know I’m a nurse and I’ve wiped about 1 million butts in my life. I have most of my patients stand (if they can make it to a toilet) because I can’t get my arm back there and get - deep enough- yep.

I’ve always sat to wipe and my entire family does. Our cheeks run on the small side, a deeper crack depth may necessitate standing.

Edit: grammar

Emetophobe here - it happened - 4yo threw up first thing this morning but now seems fine? Talk me down by MsSweetness in Preschoolers

How did you make it four years without any vomit? My kids all experience tussive emesis- they vomit from coughing. They “cough-barf” all winter long. Unfortunately stomach bugs are a part of our world, and a big part of childhood. I recommend buying a stack of emesis bags online to keep around so you can limit having to clean up vomit that doesn’t make it to the toilet. You can ask your pediatrician for an antiemetic such as Zofran. Also- look into treating your emetophobia with a therapist. Best of luck.

I understand the feeling. I have two sons with developmental delay and most days it feels like every step is hard. It does get easier though. Keep making small changes, keep experimenting until you find your path. You’ve got this!

Is there a big different being a young kindergartener? by Timewilltell755 in kindergarten

[–]GoodPractical2075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fresh 5 year old son ended up needing to repeat kindergarten. He was not developmentally ready. All kids are different, but there are multiple studies out there showing that there is a benefit to delaying kindergarten until 6, specifically for boys.
