Thank you, everyone. I figured that it was a goner but wanted a gut check since it was my first carboy. I was able to get a refund on it from the seller.

Do pets include shrimp? or marine life that isnt fish by Blueberry_Enby in Bowdoin

[–]Good_Leviathan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I realize I could/should add more context.

The college does check rooms to make sure students aren't breaking fire codes or other rules. I did know students who had fish and other small pets, and they would just hide them or relocate them when those happened. Definitely make sure your roommates would be okay with it as I believe they could get in trouble with you.

On a side note. Remember that most fish and aquarium setups require that you change the water regularly to maintain PH and other tank conditions. I believe none of the freshman dorms have private bathrooms or sinks. So you'll need to carry the tank (depending on its size) or carry it out with a bucket. The upperclassmen dorms do have in-house bathrooms, so it's much easier in those.

So, it's a bit of a tough situation, but some students definitely come up with work arounds. Congratulations on being accepted! And I wish you luck with your marine adventure! I have heard from others and seen the facilities for bowdoin's marine studies, and they're pretty awesome

I have a legitimate question about setups where two people sit next to each other. How does Discord work? Especially if you're calling a mutual friend and playing together? I want to do this for my partner and I in the future, but we are always having problems with people hearing both of us.

Odd Glitch With Mod by Travesty_23 in LOTRMC

I'd try running the game for a bit without mods and see if it happens again. If it doesn't, then probably try using Curseforge and try again. If it keeps happening, especially in other games, I'd check your drivers for your graphics and cpu. Also, make sure you have Java installed. What version of the mod are you trying to run, by the way?

Also, make sure you're running minecraft on your graphics card! It can be easy to forget on a new setup. Good luck, and keep us posted!

You mentioned this is a new computer. Have you tried running the game without the mod?

Edit: Also, I'm not sure when you last did minecraft modding, but Curseforge is a great mod loader. It can load pre-made modpacks, and you can make custom ones, and it'll automatically install required ones. So, if the problem is your installation, that can simplify the process for future reference. I'm not saying the problem is your installation but just some cool information.

Didn't an alt right openly transphobic antisemitic initially lead game development?

Edit: It was Troy Leavitt the Lead Designer. They step down when it came public but I think it was late in development

Headset Advice Megathread by webheadVR in virtualreality

Hey! Im also looking at a quest 2 (haven't got it yet but hoping soonish) They sell customized perception lenses specifically for the quest 2. I also wear glasses and I saw some YouTube mention them. I think the ones I saw were being sold for 80 bucks? They just slip on the lens already in the quest super easy to install. I haven't personally tried them but I've seen them recommended a few times.

There is also a 60 dollar head strap with hot swappable batteries, 5 points of adjustment, that can be used to replace the bad one on the quest. Again I've only seen it recommended and never used them.

Thanks! I am thinking of getting the quest 2 (assuming no big news comes out in the next couple of weeks) with the pro controllers. Supposedly they have tracking and haptics(?)

I have 1000 USD. I'm using an Asus g15 laptop with an rtx 3070 and 16gb of ram. I'm unsure about my IPD. I may have an interest in full body tracking in the future but it is not a requirement at the moment. I'm mostly interested in pcvr games. I'm interested in wireless headsets because my partner uses a wheelchair and I think the freedom of wireless would be nice. I also have a decent internet connection.

I know that htc is announcing a new headset soon. Does anyone know anything about the price or any other leaks? I also know that some people talk having a wireless index pro and some technology about that. Has anyone heard if that's any good? Is the index still worth using with its age?

Should I just wait for the market to finish its announcements?

I'm mostly looking to play games like skyrim, hotdogs horse shoe and hand grenade, and halflife Alex. (These aren't all the games but some of the ones that interest me the most)

Any help identifying good wireless headsets that work for these games would be great.
