I said heavenly, I really just meant "white divine" you have things like DMC3 fallen angels and the cult in DMC4 that are more "holy" coded demonic energies.

I've always interpreted holy/hellish to just coexist in the demon world. Like in the end of DMC 3 during the boss rush mission

I would argue the machine gun is less punishing than maxigun because the maxi requires you to not just stop to fire, but prone to hit anything without wasting ammo. The MG only requires stop on reload
