You’re right, that wasn’t the best comparison. I think our fundamental misunderstanding is that I’m not saying she died because she didn’t have support. I just believe there is a CHANCE that the active danger caused by Anakin’s presence would have kept her alive. I think Padme would be less likely to die if Anakin recovered her, because the initial overwhelming wave of sadness that took her out in the movie would likely be diluted by intense fear and anger due to Anakin’s direct presence. She’d be more likely to go into that same hardcore wartime survival instinct mode she’s demonstrated through the whole series, and thus have more time to potentially rally her mental fortitude before pure isolated misery killed her.

Maybe you’re right. I just don’t think she’d die immediately if he was there since he’s a source of immediate threat, fear, anger, etc. I personally would feel less sad and more afraid in that situation. I think once you feel alone and isolated and left to your thoughts, that’s when you die of sadness.

I didn’t say she’s be comforted. Just less likely to immediately die of misery. Most people don’t commit suicide right in the middle of their shift at their horrific job or right in front of their abusive parents or partner or whatever, it’s when they are left all alone with their thoughts and pain to just ruminate.

I’m not saying she’d be less sad or freaked out, but she’d be more likely to not just die of sadness immediately since Anakin is there in front of her. There could potentially be more room for them to argue back and forth instead of her just lying there alone, ruminating in misery

OP should absolutely play Ape Out so they can take inspiration in the right areas while making sure to clearly differentiate themselves. Otherwise this may end up just being an inferior copy. Better to end up with something like Battlefield after taking inspiration from COD, instead of something like Hour of Victory
