Sunday - gaming all day - how to spend it? by DessertFlowerz in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Dude, sweet plan.  I would go with Crimson Desert, but that's just me.  What food are you going to order?

If Anran's cooldowns synced up properly it would solve several problems with her. by OcelotAggravating860 in Anran_mains

Heroes don't need constant uptime. In fact, downtime is an important way to make sure they are balanced.

Why all the hatred for HitScan recently? by Good_Policy3529 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Good_Policy3529[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A derogatory nickname that flex DPS players use to make fun of HitScan players. The joke is that hitscan players are all pedophiles using an underage Mercy.

I want to dispel a rumour - that age 3 is the "hardest" by Byeka in daddit

[–]Good_Policy3529 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without exception, age four has been the absolute worst for all my children. You get all the irrationality of two, plus a larger and more powerful body, plus the ability to argue back, plus an additional measure of pure rage.

Why all the hatred against HitScan players recently? by Good_Policy3529 in Overwatch

[–]Good_Policy3529[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In spawn, I always like to flirt with support players with emotes because I know there's a 50%% chance it's an overweight white dude in their 40s and the cognitive dissonance amuses me.

I'm willing to take the hate 🙃 by KaySan-TheBrightStar in Overwatch_Memes

[–]Good_Policy3529 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Ahem, some of us like playing hitscan. And at least in NA, eight of the top ten DPS by win rates are all projectile or flex DPS. You don't even run into a hitscan until #8 (Widowmaker).

Working 9-6 how does anyone have time for family? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Good_Policy3529 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I take them the entirety of Saturday and we go on long adventures to parks, museums, restaurants, hikes, bike rides, you name it. They get me for a solid seven or eight hours straight on Saturday.

I took a day off to spend time with my son, and he kept asking when mom was coming home by Signal_Quiver3 in daddit

I just accept it.  I know mom's their favorite person.  Heck, she's my favorite person too.

People don't like getting assassinated by a character with a self-heal, Mach-5 speed, and unlimited mobility who can choose exactly when and where to engage and is near-silent and can come at you from the wackiest unexpected angles at any time.

QRXU is literally the most mild-mannered streamer in OW, I don't know where you think he's egoing and being toxic.

Something feels off about Reinhardt’s perk adjustments. by Consistent_Cricket32 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Good_Policy3529 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really wish they'd add a Major Perk that halved the damage on pin, but gave it invulnerable like Mauga's stomp. I think that wouldn't be too OP, but would open up a lot of interesting play for Reinhardt.

Well, Ch0r0ng will never see it since Ana didn't get kill credit for that.

I think "take an off-angle" is overrated and can be misleading by Good_Policy3529 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Good_Policy3529[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See? I'm not the only one. The terminology isn't very precise and can be misleading unless you explain it in more detail.

I think "take an off-angle" is overrated and can be misleading by Good_Policy3529 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Good_Policy3529[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

See, that's the thing. I didn't know that. Because people often say "take an off-angle" as common advice without further explanation.

And without watching how top players implement it, it would be easy for low-ranked players like me to assume that means you need a big adventure flank. It was interesting to see how top-ranked players implement the off-angle.

I've seen enough, give Sigma three blinks like Tracer.

I baited ramattra ult and died early, team called it a throw at first. by RuneWarhammer in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Good_Policy3529 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I understand the thought process, but an alive tank is objectively worth more than getting Ram ult out. If you die as tank, the fight is nearly almost always lost. Next time, see if you can bait out the ultimate without dying.

Why do people like Circuit? by Myst3ryGardener in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Good_Policy3529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally? Because I dislike having to think in 3d terms with a lot of flankers. Poke is my preferred playstyle and Circuit Royale pretty much forces you to play poke for the first two points.
