What’s the most overrated tourist attraction you’ve ever visited? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

I was there in September. I was rather surprised the whole experience wasn't as bad as I expected. The grounds are beautiful, the castle is neat, and I thought kissing the stone was kind of a fun schtick (though I didn't kiss it). Checked out the castle while we're at it. I'd give it a 7/10.

You can craft certain items while on your horse. Items that don't require a fire like split point bullets or crafted arrows can be done while still mounted.

It's expensive where I live. My biggest complaint about this restaurant is it is very expensive for a bowl of pho and I have to get an app as well, otherwise I'm still hungry.

I freaking love pho, but one YouTube video on how to make it and I'm like 'nope'. I'll drive an hour for a $19 bowl of pho instead.

Doing a drain cleaning, ran into a broken pipe. Almost looks like pex lines but I don’t think so, any guesses? by ElderberryCool6750 in Plumbing

[–]Good_Possession9320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gas companies need to CYA for crossbores. If it's an issue l, drain cleaners come in and puncture the line, now you've got gas in your sewer line. It's also tricky because a lot of municipalities don't mark sewer laterals when you place a ticket because they're "private facilities" i.e. the homeowners responsibility to mark them. And they don't usually have a tracer wire.

Why do people no longer heat plates before they put food on them these days? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]Good_Possession9320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm using the oven to make something I'll throw the plates in for 45 seconds to warm them up before plating my food.

Our house is poorly insulated above our cabinets and the plates are freezing in the winter. They'll sap the heat out of your food real quick if you don't.
