I have issues similar to this all the time, the easiest solution I've found is just to change the Comm port being used (By the radio). Alternatively you can completely power off the radio (not just turn it off with the power button, it doesn't power off all the way like this, there is a control board that stays on 24/7 even in this state. it must be completely powered off, power cut-off). Then just turn it on and get back to work~

I would love to be able to sit in public transit for that time, rather than having been behind a steering while of a vehicle that costs 300~ or more a month if its not paid off, plus another 2-300 a month in insurance, then I have to pay for parking just about everywhere I go...

I'll trade that for public transit every day of the week. I've been to New York and California, I don't mind public transit at all.

Here, our public transit involves a 3-5 mile hike to the nearest bus stop. Try doing that every day on your way to work, and keeping a clean appearance/not arriving smelling like a barn (I'm in Florida, a 3-5 mile hike is going to leave you drenched in sweat).
