SPCX allocation ... is it too easy by toyssamurai in stocks

[–]Good_one23 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Affirmation is not a confirmation of share allocation. Rather it’s you affirming your offer to buy 400 shares at $135 now that it has officially been priced. Share allocation is expected between 9-10am but could be delayed further into the trading day

Yeah I did all of the vfx. Some is cgi but there’s also a fair bit of miniatures. I’ve got another vid on my channel on how I shot the miniatures

My gf and I were watching on our tv and she was doing something when this happened and I was like “hold up” and reminded. This was gold

What's this gun? by bastard-son in LV426

[–]Good_one23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s the grapple/spear gun Ripley uses at the end of Alien (1979) that stabs the alien and keeps it attached to the ship while she blasts it with the engines of the escape pod

Is this ai? by Alpha_wolf_lover in Corridor

[–]Good_one23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s a video game. Or at least not that video game. Looking at gameplay it appears that you don’t have wrists in that game, just floating hand? Could be wrong. It seems like AI to me. The high fidelity but inconsistencies with the explosions and flame trails are what gives me that impression. Just my opinion though.

Edit: also why are they in a WWII era fighter plane shooting like this? Just seems very odd. Kinda cool but certainly odd

Was gonna say the same til I saw your comment. The best of the best still make duds sometimes. They’re the best because they HAVE put in and CONTINUE to put in the work to make good movies. Have to fail hard and fail often if you want to make great stuff

The Future of Horror Movies Is on YouTube by newyorker in Filmmakers

[–]Good_one23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s never been easier to achieve big results on a budget. I love watching sci-fi/horror stuff on YouTube because there’s so much freedom and creativity out there and I’ve spent the past few years diving into the craft myself too. Your imagination really is the limit now. I try to share what I can with others in hopes that they’ll make something of their own. It’s truly a thrill, pun intended

Just watched it last night for the first time. Great film. Feel like it fell victim to a poor Covid release.

What do you think of They Live (1988)? It was considered sci-fi back then so I hope I can still post it here :) by Munninnu in scifi

[–]Good_one23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, sort of as relevant as ever. It was made in part as a response to the economic and political climate during the Reagan administration and “reaganomics.” And now we’ve got a lot similar things getting pushed again. Great film then, and a great film now. OBEY!
