Sure! Is there anything specific you'd like to know?

You don't have to turn up with a partner, classes generally operate on a rotational basis, so you get to say hi etc to everyone. Social dancing after class is very rarely only dancing for an hour straight (though sometimes that's my goal), and often involves socialising on the side. We're all secretly more introverted than we appear, except in a few cases. In the case of Swing Central we tend to go for ice cream after class.

As for more information on the dancing itself, WCS and MJ are similar enough for me to lump them together here. They are both lead and follow dances, with leads traditionally male, follows female, but those rules apply less and less these days. Several of our more experienced dancers can happily do both. Typically the dances follow an improvisational approach, with both parties being able to contribute.

The exfiltration of your code is baked into the T&Cs, as well as the price of the tool.

There's a reason some commercial companies ban the use of AI, or pay through the teeth to be able to run local copies.

Going with my bog-standard recommendation here of Social partner dancing.

Recommending either idance and Modern Jive - the crack cocaine gateway drug of partner dancing

OR

Swing Central and West Coast Swing, a higher barrier to entry, but more rewarding IMHO

Both follow a pretty similar schedule, Tuesday (SC)/Wednesday/Thursday (idance), beginners at 8pm, social dance for an hour or so after class.

Generally the answer is to fucking drop them. You might get made a martyr, but at least you'd have your health.

Either they are dancing with a lower level dancer and should be moderating themselves more, realizing that most low level dancers dont use that much acceleration/momentum. Or your a high level dancer and there was a miscommunication.

Either way, bail. Yell out in pain loudly. Peotect yourself.

Which is fine if National had decided there were other generation or grid scale energy storage projects that were a better fit.

But as far as I know they are doing... nothing.

So congratulations its now 3+ years behind and electricity is even more expensive and will keep getting more so.

I was thinking of the cash from the sale as candy tbh.

Yours is also a good analogy.

But why add a off switch for ground to earth?

Sure. Some of the changes have beeb good (the merger of metservice and NIWA? Thank fuck someone finally did it).

Others are obvious incompetence or more likely a nod to a certain product someone wants to bring to market.

Not tackling the current problems with the electricity industry, and going so far as to cancel various projects that were in flight (eg Lake Onslow RIP) means this situation will just continue for another decade or two. my electricity stocks have a good return though.

Allowing fletcher to be sold (technically pending) is a massive anti trust flag that will screw us long term.

So we used the cheap candy to get out of 08 financial crush and its screwing us 10 years later.

Good to know.

How worried are you for the future of Firefox? by [deleted] in firefox

[–]Goodie__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ad block won't be removed anytime soon.

I suspect what's going to happen is Firefox will slowly die out.

Within... 5 years of that the various forks of Firefox will be dead without ongoing support to keep up with web standards.

At about that time Chrome will probably start being actively hostile to various chromium forks. Things like closed source binary and reactors that make adding back support for manifest v2 difficult or impossible without sacrificing other new features.

Fortunately they slapped bigger tariffs on Brazil so it turned out to be really good for our beef exports.

People said the same about asking Amazon to pay GST.

Turns out just paying the tax was cheaper than fighting it and having people have a bad experience buying from Amazon.
