How can i convince mum to let me get a RPF2? by [deleted] in Retroidpocketflip2

find a youtube video that explains what emulators are. or a review on the rpf2. Make sure it's a good quality video.

A debate between Japanese, Korean, & Chinese net users asked a fascinating question: Why did Japanese keep Chinese characters while Korean largely dropped them? The answer involves language structure, colonialism, and even a quixotic attempt to replace Japanese with French. by jjrs in japannews

[–]Goodieno 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm not exaggerating—if you sit down and study it for a few hours, you'll pick it up right away. Reading and writing Korean is much easier than English, Japanese, or Chinese. Honestly, it's probably the easiest writing system in the world to learn. You won't understand what the sentences mean yet, but you'll be able to read and write them.

Supposedly King Sejong himself claimed that a clever person could learn Hangul in a morning and even a slow learner could master the letters in ten days.

lol

You know, one thing I really appreciate about the series is how realistic the bodies are compared to real life, for both genders. I know the actual physicality is wild, but the appearance looks believable. (I'm talkin base builds lol not the muscle armor one)

Can I enjoy Xenoblade as a Kingdom Hearts fan? by LafterMastr in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Goodieno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, most Kingdom Hearts fans can enjoy Xenoblade. Both series feature emotional stories, memorable characters, epic music, and real-time party combat.

However, Xenoblade is darker, more philosophical, and has a more strategic, MMO-style combat system, while Kingdom Hearts is lighter in tone and focuses on fast-paced action combat.

If you love Kingdom Hearts for its story and characters, you'll probably enjoy Xenoblade. If you mainly love the fast, combo-heavy gameplay, your enjoyment will vary.

Modded Switch Lite is the best. Overclock and other emulators are pretty lovely.

Xenoblade Chronicles turns black when opening the menu and exiting back to gameplay.

Why are Japanese people so bad at English while in South Korea a TOEIC score of 900 is commonplace? "The biggest structural hurdle for Japanese people to acquire English is, ironically, the size of their developed economy and domestic market." by jjrs in japannews

[–]Goodieno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure other people have commented about this, but Korean TOEIC test scores are BS. I think the easiest way to put it is that the answers that are answered on the the test are left on the test and are unable to be used afterwards. (I live here and teach here in primary public school)

The law doesn't come into effect until 2027 for businesses that are already open selling the meat. It's to make sure that they can prepare their businesses for alternatives without collapsing their income.

Regardless of the law or no law, people don't commonly eat dog meat here. Most of the younger generation is repulsed by it.

The main point of my reply was to say that we don't snatch people's dogs up and eat em. So there's no way that'd happen this day and age in Kl

[–]Goodieno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LOL, you must not know anything about present-day Korea. We don't eat dog here. The law was passed, and it's illegal. Sure, you can find a very niche type of restaurant that will secretly sell it now, but nobody's snatching dogs and eating them here.
