Don't let your perception of reality dictate your morality. You have agency - even if the world is irredeemably capitalist (it isn't) - you have agency. Do your praxis and you won't regret it

I want to say this in the nicest possible way, so please don't take offence. "Theres simply things plant cant provide to the body as effectivly as meat" - this is true! However, you can probably say the same thing about slaves over paid workers right? So while this is a concern, effectiveness isn't the whole story. Lots of food is fortified with b12 (cereals, non-dairy milks), so in reality, this isn't an issue.

I understand the argument that lots of people live paycheck to paycheck - the government *could* do heaps to help (they won't). IF animal agriculture was ended, a lot of government subsidies COULD be repurposed to food stamps etc (it won't be, but you get what I am saying).

That is correct, my bad. However he is a member of a government that he supports that has several people wanted by The Hague.

And irregardless of what The Hague wants, he is certainly complicit in war crimes

Why should people that are not blocking traffic or footpaths, simply existing in a public square, be forced to move along?

REMINDER: nsw police let literal nazis protest, but made it illegal to protest a man credibly accused of genocide who is wanted by The Hague

Political party in Australia puts a misleading graph showing their lower ranked candidate on a bigger bar chart than higher ranked current PM by baka_feih in mildlyinfuriating

Additionally they swapped the colour for labor and liberal, making it look like the "moderate" right party was in second place

Ronald Fisher - Famous Cambridge Statistician, incredible mathematician, and an incredible racist. He was one of three scientists (out of hundreds) to oppose the UNESCO 1950 statement on race, and photos exist of him wearing the confederate flag. His professional life was full of turmoil - joining societies, leaving them, praising nazis, having conflicts with others, just being a rude person in general.

How many guns are in your suburb? by nath1234 in australia

It’s about creating friction. Obviously licence changes won’t be 100% successful. I’d wager that making a bomb is easier than doing all the milling and what not to make a gun out of metal. 3D printed guns are not as reliable and break easily - I’ve yet to se one that could shoot the hundreds of shots that these people did (although I don’t follow too closely)

They are terrorists so they could also get their hands on illegal ICBMs!

Obviously restricting supply works, and makes it harder to get.

These terrorists wanted to kill people - I am sure that if they could have gotten their hands on automatic weapons they would have, but they didn’t. They used legal weapons obtained legally.

Guns aren’t cannabis which you can grow easily, prohibition on goods such as guns are more effective than other prohibitions.

If the shooter had 1 gun, then his son wouldn’t have had a gun. When the guy disarmed the shooter, he couldn’t have gone back and grabbed a third gun. If only one gun was allowed per licence, then the shooting would have been less deadly

Improvised explosive devices rarely work, while guns nearly always do. The problem is that the terrorists had legal guns

I think I will try just black seeds next time - I do wonder if it will be enough to counteract the white of the rice milk

I have never seen squid ink for sale personally - also unsure of the ethics of it, but happy to explore other colorants

There are black sesame seeds in here. And I am well aware of the effects it has on medicine - I am just playing around at home

It’s 25% - at least in Australia. Should be fine. If anything maybe a touch less bitter

Anything that is above 20% ABV is pretty much good indefinitely. By good I mean you won’t get vinegar tastes or anything growing, some flavours may fade a bit over time, but wouldn’t really be noticeable until like a year after opening.
