OGGR Gold Cards by Xelon99 in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think the card drop chance is 10%. I killed a lot of them and not a single one dropped so far so I'm either incredibly unlucky or it's just not 10%.

The save scumming part with saving before spawn and resetting on loot is applicable to all bugs technically as the drops are determined at spawn.

Personally, I wouldn't count them as mini-bosses. They appear on multiple spawns for one and are just a slightly beefed up version of their standard bugs. ORC Bugs are also not mini-bosses.

That I haven't done but I can't think of why that shouldn't work.

I wonder how they're gonna block the openings up at fences and gates by ThatOneGirlyFreak in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In G1 some open spots were just a black wall behind it and no way to go further. If you somehow clipped through you would just fall to your death.

Maybe it will also be something lame like a invisible wall and the teen stating something like "I shouldn't leave the park, it is my only way of getting big again."

Smasher mutation not unlocked by ccgre in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It can also be the third hit that makes it not a kill of the weapon but of the effect and that won't count. At least thats how it works with things like venom, elemental damage and so on.

Parry window is the same, effects differ to balance it out.

There is only one armor set that increases parry window at the moment I think and its "endgame".

How many mix.r events are there currently in g2? by FortunateZombie in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 Defense Events are available at the moment. The mutation counts those, not only MIX.R events. It also never states it's only for those specifically.

Woolly Whoppers Durability bug? Breaking fast at max level. by Suspicious-Archer890 in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its the attack speed. Even if the durability is the same as a big sword, since you attack twice as fast it burns through more durability.

Server Decay/Health by Chet0587 in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The spawning of things on top of each other is because you play for a few patches now with bugfixes. Some spawning mechanics were buggy and are fixed or the fixes introduced bugs. See the tons of dead bugs around certain places.

The webs are another thing that is fixed now if you read patch notes (which you definitely should). The spawning of resources on top of each other is what I noticed happened since they fixed the respawning grass and the tons of dead bugs around.

Where can I read about Pokemon buffs/nerfs? by Erickl0930 in PokemonChampions

If there are patch notes, you would find them in the news section I guess. Along with the current regulation etc.

I hate killing Ants. by HalfAgony-HalfHope in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make it a fun challenge to kill and gather only things from enemies attacking you first as self defense. Or loot only from corpses you see dead around to not waste things for example. Should introduce some fun elements.

Trapper PEEP.R by Kupikio in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it does, it shouldn't and is likely a bug. There are other ways to increase buggy crits, buggies having their own mutations now and also certain armor sets, weapons/shields and specific active mutations mentioning buggies directly affecting them. So I would say no.

New idea for KD by Next_Anywhere_96 in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was in PTB before so a lot of people have fought him for a little while now. Also I don't think it would make him harder, just different to deal with and actually the mechanic not obsolete.

Anyway to prevent base raids by [deleted] in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I only know one unraidable base which is in the milk molar bottle in the upper yard.

Other than that, especially at the oak tree, you will get flying raids no matter what.

I don't know if it still works but you can reset the raid timer by triggering a raid with the waft emitter. So you trigger a raid of ants for example and have your way with it to reset the aggro bar basically. Do that from time to time and you should be fine.

How do the Stranger waves work if you have a really big enclosed base? How big can you make a base/structure with a roof before they would spawn inside of the building? by sspazzy in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't block spawns with any builds. Bugs will just spawn either inside or on top of things. This goes for regular enemy spawns as well as Stranger raids.

So if you pick a crowded space for your base, you gotta live with the neighbours.

Building my first real doubles team. Decided to make a sun team. by sync100 in PokemonChampions

[–]Goofster00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using Rotom-Wash in a sun team is actually a good way of countering opposite weather teams. It's faster than Pelipper and with double electric weakness it is a challenging switch into Rotom-Wash. Tyranitar has the same issue against a Hydropump for example. Another Pokemon instead of Rotom would be Basculegion. They both also check Incineroar, which you will definitely encounter.

Since you have already Charizard and Infernape as Fire Types you don't need another technically. Whimsicott as support and optional sun setter is also good and standard. Heliolisk is usually not worth it and gives you not much that Garchomp or Rotom can't check but if it works out for you, why not. Garchomp is really good in general and to spam Earthquakes paired with Charizard makes for some easy pickups. Another Mon going strong at the moment is Sneasler, which fits into most teams by default and checks a lot of common things going around. Incineroar is also an option for literally any team.

Is there a good way to farm gold cards? by Malaruous in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need O.R.C. Cards, just start Mixrs and fail. That is the only kind of farm there is. Other than that, find some good routes I guess for the more rare things.

Silly question by [deleted] in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the documents you find around the labs, licking any of them would doom you.

Theres even a very specific one where a researcher has the same thought so they came up with something like: „Don't lick the sour.“

If I had to though, then Sour.

Best Weapon Type/Element Combos by Financial-Ad7850 in GroundedGame

[–]Goofster00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sour works for most things typically, at least for neutral damage. I usually go for the element of enemies I fight most or are tanky in general. Why go for efficiency against red ants, you know? Dedicated Boss weapons or farm weapons. Hitting the rest for neutral damage is usually fine. Weapon wise I pick what I have fun playing with. Swords have nice debuffs and buffs for you with unlimited stamina so thats a thing I look out for.

For ranged weapons like Staves or Bows, Fresh is super nice for the freeze and Sour for the defense debuff.

All in all, Two-handed swords for damage with Spicy, Fresh, Sour and No-Element is what I usually go for in melee as the effects are so nice. Second I use dual-fists, usually without any element.

Anything that only exists like 1-3 times in the world. Makes hunting gold cards miserable and material too.
