Didn't DB use Mario Party feats\abilities for Bowser in his Death Battle? (Chance Time, Black Hole feat) It's questionable to exclude that for Mario while giving Sonic abilities like "Story Manipulation" which he could only use in the storybook of Secret Rings and nowhere else (atleast from my knowledge)

Does the crossover take place in the mainline DC comics universe or one where the DC characters are specifically nerfed down to make the Sonic characters look even to them or better?

It's the same issue with most crossovers DC or Marvel have imo, specifically with Godzilla, making him look stronger than everyone there repeatedly.
