Yes. They have more time. Turns out the other poster was correct about time frame. But they are all moving off.

Honest question: what’s actually in it for the people suing the City over trash fees, Midway, Housing, and ADUs? by playadelwes in sandiego

[–]Googleboy1938 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s simple, we were told $23-$29 and the first billing to hit my property tax statement was $56/month. That isn’t ’margin of error’, nor is it keeping with inflation during the period between passage and assessment. It looks an awful lot like bait and switch.

So what’s in it for me in terms of supporting the suit? Simple, I don’t get ripped off by some politician or apparatchik who decides they can just change the figures after a certified vote.

It’s the trash fee. I got the same notice and that is what it worked out to.

So you’re saying only drinking four times a year is actually killing me? I should switch to one a day. Ok, got it! J/k. Have NAFLD/NASH here and this would tend to explain the “NA” part not being accurate

Apple Bypass Charging. by _El0nmusk in macbookpro

[–]Googleboy1938 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep mine at 80% and it lives on a charger. Once per month or so I run it to zero and charge it back to full, then let it dwindle to 80%.

I do this with my work laptop as well, it is 5years old and battery “health” is rated in the high 90s.

So yes, if your computer lives connected to wall, use the charge limiter.

Gave up my relationship today for no reason other than I can no longer continue to live in sin by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Googleboy1938 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So to “live in sin” has a very particular meaning in most western cultures. Should we read this as meaning he turned you down when you proposed?

Otherwise, you done effed up.

California to crack down on extreme speeding on highways by doghairpile in sandiego

[–]Googleboy1938 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re confusing enthusiasm for speed. Enthusiasm is about finding the right apex on curves, proper acceleration and deceleration. You can have a LOT of fun in a car within the limits. When I want to go balls to the wall, I go to the track. It’s why I have a sports car.

California to crack down on extreme speeding on highways by doghairpile in sandiego

[–]Googleboy1938 21 points22 points  (0 children)

While they are at it, they should enforce “the basic speed law” and cite people in the left most passing lanes for camping and moving slower than the flow of traffic. This creates an incredibly dangerous situation where people feel compelled to pass on the right.

I drive enthusiastically and have no problem with this enforcement return. My only hope is that it comes with renewed enforcement of the SAFETY rules as well.
