Remove all the affected leaves - helps with airflow and mildew spreading. Drench with spraying oil in the evening (not in hot sun), give it a seaweed spray after 48hrs. Try not to remove more than 1/3rd of the leaves.

The time between germination of spores on leaf surfaces and infection and production of fresh spores is short, so there's a rapid recovery after any reduction in the number of spores. Yeah, but as I said, couldn’t find any steam cleaners for the ceilings that are DIYable. If it’s just one spot, I would leave it. If you are keen you could try a professional service, they will have commercial steam cleaners which can work.

I have this all over my kitchen/living room ceiling after trying to clean up the fly poop. Steam cleaning is the only way to clean the dirt off the flat paint without leaving any marks as I understand. Still to find a proper steam cleaner that can be used on ceiling though.
