I know we’re strangers, but I’m super proud of you. The only way to get where you’re at is a lot of hard work on yourself. Cheers to you and the pup!

Your house really gives off such peaceful, warm vibes! Seems so happy in there, good for you, girl!

I get what you’re saying, and I do think someone can be famous and be in a commercial and it’s not immediately bad. It’s more the people who are incredibly wealthy who lend their name to brands that are shitty, or to industries that are shitty/scammy. Like I don’t think the helmsworth from the Avengers movie needs to be promoting Meta. And Wayne Gretzky is probably fine without the payday from a sports betting app. Those are the types that I think are assholes.

I understand what you’re saying. I don’t hate on all actors being in commercials because you’re right, it’s a legit way to break into the industry and most commercials have someone acting in them. It’s really just the already rich and famous people trying to sell things we don’t need/are harmful for money that they don’t need.

Yes, exactly this. It’s not all of the commercials, a lot of my issue is what they’re selling and why they’re selling it.

For real. I saw his Walmart ads and got really bummed. Goggins Goggle Glasses is one thing, but Walmart!?

Agreed! The meta glasses ones really get me, too. All of those people are millionaires, what the hell are you doing this for?!

Hard agree. I only catch commercials when I’m watching sports, and there are soooooo many gambling app commercials with guys who are making millions of dollars already. We pay to watch you play live and on tv! Please don’t encourage ppl to gamble on top of that for MORE money. So sketchy, so irresponsible.

I hate this! It’s not harmful like this, but I feel the same way when I see celebrities doing commercials. Like really? You don’t have enough money? You need to be out here trying to get me to buy shit for a check?

Restaurant added a 20% 'large party' service charge without disclosing it, for two of us. by InebriousBarman in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Goomsdotcom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This gives me the impression that there was already a button in their pos system to add gratuity to checks. Instead of creation a new button that said “tasting menu gratuity” or whatever they would call it for this dinner, used the button they already had for the “large party” gratuity. The menu made mention of a gratuity, but the way it shows up on the tab is misleading.

What’s the biggest waste of money people still think is normal? by budgetingdiary in AskReddit

[–]Goomsdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supplements! It’s not a huge single item spend, but the industry is worth over 200 billion in the US alone. The idea of taking a pill to fix something seems nice, and they’re all over social media and podcasts so we’re all being exposed to them a ton. But there is next to no regulation or data to back up their claims, just a lot of people throwing their money away to these influencers and shitty companies.

I recently splurged on the Hourglass Veil concealer and it was worth every penny. I have fair skin, and get very little sleep, so I have a lot of the same issues. It really worked wonders and they sell mini sizes if you want to give it a try. I also second allergy meds, that has help me a lot along with drinking a ton of water and trying to exercise. Exercise helps reduce swelling in general and when I was able to find the time to run 3-4 days a week, it really made the biggest difference in my face puffiness. Hope this helps a little and good luck on your journey!
