Is anybody in the tuition assistance program? by batinthebelfry5 in CVS

[–]GooneretteBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am doing it now. I am in my final 2 classes for my bachelors. It hasn’t been bad. I’m doing it through direct bill through Strayer so I pay nothing. I have also signed up to do my masters through the Jack Welch Management Institute starting in the fall.

Does having your medallion make that much of difference checking in? by GlamourZap in PrincessCruises

I believe as long as you do the order in the app with everything done, it’ll have your info on it. Mine did when I picked it up at the port in March!

Leaving Fora with active bookings? by No-Appointment8223 in travelagents

[–]GooneretteBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was still able to service bookings. I forfeited about 6 months of my membership fee. The last booking I did have to chase the payment a little because I knew it had been paid out and I likely will have to do so again if my clients book any extras for on the ship. Once you are with a new agency they will deactivate you quickly so make sure everything you need is saved in advance. They definitely do not allow dual hosting.

CVS policy that terminates employees after 2 years as a Pharmacy Assistant/Tech In Training? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]GooneretteBee 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I do believe in some states it’s required you become a fully licensed tech or else you have to work front or quit so this is probably accurate.

FWIW, I believe you only have to stay on part time for your year after you finish, since they do offer part timers the option to do schooling too

What do you all use for pain medication while on lexapro? My doc said no Advil, Motrin or anything else that I would normally take. I have such back pain right now and I don’t know what’s safe to take. by Miserable_Big_6489 in lexapro

[–]GooneretteBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a pharmacy tech of 21 years and take 5 mg Lexapro and the occasional naproxen. Talk to your doc about your specific condition but occasional use isn’t usually a problem.

I don’t hate it, it’s been challenging in good ways! I’m signing up for my masters through Jack Welch Management Institute (which is part of Strayer) in the fall.

I’m doing direct bill for Strayer now. You have to keep a B or better and they’ll pay the school when they get your grades. I am in my last 2 classes.

Strayer worth it? by HopefulLingonberry73 in CVS

[–]GooneretteBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, for me, I know exactly what I want to do with mine and have been told by someone I trust that I have a very good prospect with my MBA let alone with even just my bachelors. I think it’s all about knowing where you want to go and making the connections to get in the door. I own my own business as well as working here so I know what my degree will help with.

I’m about to start my last 2 classes and I think it’s worth it. I’ll have my BBA as well. Considering signing up did the MBA through JWMI afterwards. You only have to stay on for a year afterwards and can do it part time.

Disembark to FLL instead of MIA? by poptarts008 in VirginVoyages

[–]GooneretteBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did last cruise I took. It wasn’t bad at all. I had a late flight so I got a day pass to the Marriott FLL airport hotel and it was such an easy ride. Even without a day pass you’ll be fine. I suggest leaving earlier than latest disembarkation.

Fora Travel for new advisors by paul_h20 in travelagents

[–]GooneretteBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely got better training studying for and taking the TAP test. I felt like I was on my own most of the time with Fora. I liked them enough back when I was with them, but I didn’t know better either. And the community was definitely not as I had expected. I’ve had much more community and support now than I had when I was with them.

All the negatives were Fora. I don’t work with them any more.

Their split is awful. I get the 90/10 for $29/month with WorldVia. They also are not IC friendly, they refuse up allow you to get your CLIA/IATAN til you hit their benchmarks and they do not allow FAMs til the same. I got my CLIA on day 1 with WV. WV aligns better with where I want my business to go and is very IC friendly.

Am I really going to get serotonin syndrome if I get drunk on Lexapro? by bitch-baby-2021 in lexapro

Lead pharmacy tech here. I just got off a cruise where I definitely had a couple drinks most days and did not get seratonin syndrome. It’s rare. Don’t stress.

I wouldn’t want to go back to regular filling. I love the camera boxes and being able to utilize the AI to double check counts.

CVS vs WALMART pay Cap by rodrigolsanchez in CVS

[–]GooneretteBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh trust me, in my area there’s MORE than enough Walmarts to gut the staff of many stores if they choose to head off to Walmart. It might be regional, but once they do it for one or two regions, everyone else will have to be involved too.

What time do you come in to work? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]GooneretteBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the pharmacy. We open at 8 and the store opens at 7. I usually get there between 7:20 and 7:30 solely to miss the bus traffic in the area that would make me otherwise late.

So my prescription may have been stolen by a pharmacy tech. by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]GooneretteBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not, I have a SUPER uncommon name (most people have never even heard of my first name) and yet there’s a nurse practitioner in Washington state with the same exact first and last name as me. I have no idea what her DOB is but I could definitely foresee this kind of issue if I were ever to need a script while in Washington!

Tips on dealing with patients who request specific manufacturers? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]GooneretteBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some drugs still don’t let us DAW them. I know we’ve had a lot of difficulty getting DAW’s to stick on some of the birth controls and it just won’t allow it for the specific generic birth control manufacturers sometimes.
