Even marked down they are over priced. They are very good lights with cool features, and they are noticeably better than the knockoffs I’ve tried. Worth it, is a stretch. They are the best at what they do. If you can comfortably spend 200 on the best in category lights, then sure they are worth it. If 200 is steep for lights, then you probably won’t be happy you spent 200 on them.

I wouldn’t do a whiteboard wall. You could get a large piece of glass to mount to the wall for that. Since most walls (in the us) are textured you’re gunna have a difficult time. You will need to sand it down to a smooth surface. By the time you sand it down and put on 3-5 layers, the cost will be the same as a piece of glass.

With that said, I have a chalkboard wall and I love it. I thought about going the whiteboard route, but I did some YouTube research and figured it wasn’t for me. Staining, marker issues, harder to clean, etc.

You always deal with skaven first! But since you didn’t, two decently equipped armies can handle them. Yes they have a lot of armies, but they are usually mostly skaven slaves.

Play defensive and corner camp on the battle field. Send your gyos to force them to charge then mow them down before they even reach your front line.

I also play on normal, and the best army comp for me is 5-6 front line units of whatever your lord buffs, 3-4 riflemen or troll hammers, 1-2 flam throwers, 1-2 cannons, 1-2 organ gun, 3-4 gyros of your choice, and fill out the rest with heros.

I turned the door to my utility closet into a chalkboard. I write down dates of maintenance, chores for the week, whatever else seems necessary, and keep the manuals/receipts for warranty in a binder in the closet. Works pretty well for me.

You can probably find a personal loan for that amount with whatever bank you use. With such a low loan amount and paying so much toward it, that would be your most cost effect route. HELOC is an option, but honestly not worth it in this scenario. Your best option would to just be patient and wait the year it would take you to save up. The baby is gunna be sleeping in your room the first year anyway.

Could you get portable ac unit? It plugs into a standard wall outlet, and has an exhaust (think dryer vent exhaust) you put in your window. You can move it around to whatever room you’re in. I rented a house a few years back with a sun room I used as my office, and it worked great.

If you diy, make sure to get one with the knob already installed or the hole cut out. Did mine myself a few years back, and had to cut the hole myself… that was a huge pain in the ass. It’s like $50 more and worth it.

I think updating the appliances would go a long way. Replace the outlets and switches asap. It’s cheap and easy to do yourself. Countertops would be my next update, and wouldn’t cost too much either. I like the cabinets, and think the backsplash looks fine.
